Weekly Reflective Report Guidelines
Purpose of the Reflective Reports
Throughout this course, you will submit a short reflective report after each session. The purpose
of these reports is to help you:
● Consolidate your understanding of the concepts covered in class.
● Develop your academic writing skills in English.
● Reflect critically on educational ideas and practices.
● Connect course content to your own experiences, beliefs, and future professional practice.
● Develop the habit of reflective thinking, which is an essential skill for educators,
researchers, and lifelong learners.
Structure of the Report
Each report must consist of two well-developed paragraphs.
Paragraph 1: Session Summary
In this paragraph, summarize the main content covered during the session.
You may include:
● Main ideas and concepts discussed.
● Key terminology and definitions.
● Important theories, approaches, or frameworks.
● Teaching techniques and strategies presented.
● Examples, case studies, or activities completed in class.
● Any important information or conclusions from the session.
Paragraph 2: Personal Reflection
In this paragraph, provide your personal reflections on the session.
You may discuss:
● What you found most useful and why.
● What you found less useful and why.
● Ideas or concepts you agree with.
● Ideas or concepts you disagree with.
● Anything that surprised or interested you.
● Questions that emerged during the session.
● Connections between the session and your own educational experiences.
● How the content may influence your future professional practice.
Important: This paragraph should reflect your own thoughts and opinions. There are no
"correct" answers as long as your ideas are clearly explained and supported.
Submission Requirements
● Write your report in English.
● Use complete sentences and academic language.
● Proofread your work before submission.
● Submit your report through the designated platform (google classroom).
Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI)
The use of AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, etc.) is permitted only for proofreading
purposes.
You may use AI to:
● Identify grammar mistakes.
● Correct spelling and punctuation errors.
● Improve sentence clarity.
● Suggest language corrections.
You may NOT use AI to:
● Generate the content of your paragraphs.
● Write the summary paragraph for you.
● Write the reflection paragraph for you.
● Generate ideas, arguments, or opinions on your behalf.
The purpose of these reports is to help you develop your own writing skills, critical thinking
abilities, and academic voice. You should seize this opportunity to practice writing regularly and
gradually develop your own writing style.
Submission Deadlines
Each reflective report must be submitted no later than one day before the next class session.
Late submissions will not be accepted. After the deadline, please do not send your assignment by
email.
Formatting Requirements
Submit your work as a pdf document
Font size: 12
Use a clear academic font (e.g., Times New Roman or Arial)
Titles and headings must be in bold
Include your Full Name at the top of the document
Use clear paragraphs and appropriate academic language
Length
Maximum 2 pages
