Theme: The Courage to Say “I Can”
Good evening fellow Toastmasters and my dear guests.
A very warm welcome to the 137th meeting of Uniqfin Toastmasters
Club.
It is truly a pleasure and an honor to serve as your Toastmaster of the Day
for today’s meeting.
Before I announce today’s theme, let me ask you a few simple questions.
Have you ever stood at the edge of something new and thought,
“What if I fail?”
If you have, you are not alone.
Because most of our biggest battles are not outside us —
they happen silently inside our own minds.
And the outcome of those battles often depends on just two words.
Two words that decide whether we move forward or stay stuck.
Two words that separate fear from action.
Two words that turn hesitation into growth.
Those two words are…
“I can.”
And that brings us to our theme for today’s meeting:
The Courage to Say “I Can.”
This is exactly what Toastmasters is about.
Toastmasters International is a non-profit organization that helps people
develop communication and leadership skills —
not by waiting until we are perfect,
but by giving us a safe space to practice saying,
👉 “I can speak.”
👉 “I can lead.”
👉 “I can improve.”
Our meeting today is designed as a journey of courage, where each
segment helps us practice saying “I can.”
1. Prepared Speeches –
This is where speakers say, “I can stand up, share my thoughts,
and be heard.” based on their chosen Pathways project
Every speech is an act of courage and self-belief by there chosen
pathways
2. Table Topics –
Here, members say, “I can speak even without preparation.”
It teaches us to trust ourselves and respond with confidence in the
moment.
3. Evaluations –
In this segment, evaluators say, “I can help others grow.”
Feedback becomes a tool for encouragement, improvement, and
courage.
Each part of today’s meeting reminds us that progress begins not with
perfection,
but with the courage to say, “I can.”
👤 General Evaluator Introduction
To guide us through our learning journey today, we have our General
Evaluator.
The General Evaluator reminds us that improvement begins when we believe
we can do better.
Our General Evaluator for today is someone who proves that growth is a
choice —
a choice to say “I can learn,” “I can improve,” and “I can lead.”
