I. Rationale of the Program
We always see some articles or posts in online platforms that reading books can reduce
stress and gives different kind of peace of mind and relaxation. It can also exercise people's mind
from a long sleep. Reading does hold many advantages aside from giving relaxation and reduces
stress but it is a great way of escaping the reality that might be causing people to feel stress,
depression and anxiety. You can also gain vocabulary expansion and enhances your knowledge
as well.
One thing that you can also considered as a good thing is it is not only for the adults or
teenagers but it is also open for the kids whose age is above six years old. They can participate in
the activities or sessions prepared in this project and read their favorite fairy tale or children's
books. This project also warmly welcomes the senior citizens who have reached fifty years of
their age and also for those students/nonstudents who have taken reading as a hobby..
I choose the area of [specify one barangay or place] where this project will be held
because many people who lives in this place lost interests in doing anything. Through
participating in this project, their minds will be active again as many adults, young adults,
teenagers and even children will join. Implementing this project will be a good boost for the
mental health of the people.
II. Objectives
• To have peace of mind through reading.
• To exercise the minds of the people.
• To relax people's minds from stress and problems.
• To strengthen the comprehension ability.

IV. Methodology
First, we will write a letter addressed to Mayor Mohammad Juhar Dimaporo Disomimba,
the Municapal Mayor of Tamparan, regarding this project proposal. We'll ask for his free time so
he could meet us and we could discuss the aim and goal of this project with him and what is the
significance or importance of this to be implemented in the selected area.
1. Story Reading: They will all gather around to listen for some stories. Anyone can
volunteer to do the story reading to the people. It is a good exercise of the mind for the
person to share their favorite stories to others.
2. Writing Own Stories/Poems: Some people, especially students, will gladly participate
in this activity to enhance their writing skills and let their imaginations and creativity out.
They might also discover their hidden talents that they didn't expect.
3. Reading Sessions: This is just for the kids above five years of age. This is to help them
read and learn some new words in advance
V. Duration
This project will be implemented in April 28, 2023. It will last until 5 days and if it shows
effectiveness to the people's mental health in the community, another 5 days will be added. The
