ABLLS-R Code: A 17

Task Objective: Waits appropriately if reinforcer delivery is delayed

SD: Student will be able to wait appropriately if a reinforce is not delivered immediately
following a behavior

Question: Does the student wait appropriately if a reinforcer is not delivered immediately
following a behavior?

Criteria: 4= waits 5 minutes, 3= waits 1 minute, 2= 10 seconds, 1=5 seconds

Mastery criteria: 80% on 3 consecutive days

Teaching Procedure:
1.​ Client sitting at a table, on the floor or around the room.
2.​ Therapist presents the stimulus (object/picture/verbal cue).
3.​ Therapist delivers the SD.
4.​ Wait 3-5 seconds for response
5.​ Reinforce correct responses
6.​ If incorrect/no response, implement error correction.

Reinforcement:
●​ Types: Preferred activities, or toys

Generalization: Practice across various materials/setting. Even if the client is running


around the room, follow the client and direct the to begin doing the behavior
