ฬ GENERAL MATCH STRUCTURE

Team Size: 8 Players per team. Match

Format: 8 overs per innings.

Final Match: 10 overs per innings (subject to time availability).

Toss Rules: Captains must report for the toss 30 minutes prior to the scheduled match time.

് POINT SYSTEM & QUALIFICATION

Match Win: 2 Points.

Net Run Rate (NRR): Calculated as per standard Cricheroes algorithms. Knockouts:

The top 2 teams from each group will qualify for the Semi-Finals.

BATTING & SCORING RULES

๡ Compulsory Retirement: Every batting pair must retire after completing 2 overs.

ോ Physical Runs: Runs must be scored by physically running between the wickets.

A shot that reaches the straight boundary net (the net directly in line with the batting crease) after
bouncing one or more times on the ground or net shall be awarded Four (4) runs.

A shot that directly hits the straight boundary net (the net directly in line with the batting crease)
without touching the ground shall be awarded Six (6) runs.
Note:
Only the net positioned straight ahead of the batting line shall be considered for Four and Six runs.
Any ball hitting the side nets or other surrounding nets shall remain in play and will not be counted as
a boundary.

ฆ WCC Derby Ball:

The last valid ball of every over is designated as the WCC Derby Ball.
The impact of the ball is doubled.

For runs scored (including regular runs, boundaries, and overthrows), the runs are multiplied by 2.
1 run → 2 points
2 runs → 4 points
4 runs → 8 points
6 runs → 12 points
If a wicket falls, it results in −4 points.

BALL & EQUIPMENT

Ball Type: Nivia Semi Hard Tennis Ball will be used. Bats:

Both wooden and fiber bats are permitted.

❌ DISMISSAL & PENALTY RULES

Pair Rotation: Batting pairs change automatically after every 2 overs.

Wicket Penalty: If a batter gets out during their designated 2 overs, the team is penalized (-2) runs. The
non-striker moves to the striking end, and the pair continues their innings.

Derby Ball Wicket: If a wicket falls on a Derby Ball, the team is penalized (-4) runs.

TIE-BREAKER RULES

League Matches: In the event of a tie, both teams will receive 1 point each.

Semi-Finals & Finals: A Super Over will decide the winner, governed by standard ICC Super Over rules.
බ CRICKET ATTIRE

Official WCC Match T-Shirt is compulsory. Comfortable track pants.

Sports shoes are mandatory (strictly no sandals or bare feet).

BOWLING & FIELDING RULES

Bowling Action: Only standard overarm bowling is allowed.

Pitching: The ball must bounce at least once before crossing the batting crease and pitching must be

into the turf only. Ball directly pitches outside the turf will be a dead ball.

No-Ball (Height & over stepping): Any waist-high full toss and over stepping will be called a No-Ball.

Ᲊ Free Hit Rule: A No-Ball results in 1 extra run and a Free Hit on the next delivery. On a Free Hit, a
batter can only be dismissed via Run Out.

➕ Wide Balls:

A wide ball awards 1 extra run and must be re-bowled.

Additional runs taken on misfields off a wide ball will count.

LBW / Byes: LBW is not out. Leg Byes and Byes are permitted.

ฮ FIELDING PLACEMENT & RESTRICTIONS

A maximum of 2 fielders are allowed behind the bowling-end stumps. (In final it will be maximum
of 3 fielders)

The remaining fielders can stand anywhere behind the batting crease, except for the wicketkeeper.
Wicketkeeper is compulsory.
Ᲊ Fielding Violation: Having more than 2 fielders behind the bowling stumps will result in a No-
Ball.

ഷ Wall Catch Rule: A ball rebounding off the wall or net and caught before touching the ground is
Not Out.

STANDARD DISMISSALS

Batters can be dismissed via:

Bowled, Caught (Direct), Run Out, Stumping

് OVER LIMITS PER BOWLER

League Matches / Semi-Finals/Final (8 Over): Only 1 bowler can bowl maximum 2 overs.
(2+1+1+1+1+1+1)

Final Match (10 Over)

1 bowler can bowl maximum 3 overs & 1 bower can bowl 2 overs. (3+2+1+1+1+1+1)

⚖ DECISION & RUNNER RULES

Umpiring: The Umpire’s decision is final and binding. Any severe disputes will be resolved exclusively
by the WCC Management Committee.

RUNNER RULE: No substitute runners are allowed. In exceptional cases involving a live injury, a runner
may be allowed only if the opposing captain and the WCC Committee grant permission.

*Note :

If a player opts for a runner, only the runner is permitted to run between the wickets.

The batter must remain at their designated position and must not participate in running between the
wickets.

If the batter also initiates or participates in running:


 First Offence: The umpire will issue an official warning.

 Second or Any Subsequent Offence: The batter will be declared OUT.

The umpire's decision regarding violations of the runner rule shall be final and binding.

*Special Rule for ALL the Matches of UNITY CHARGES

As UNITY CHARGERS has exceeded the allocated team budget, the following penalty shall apply for all
matches played by the team:

 The entire final over bowled by UNITY CHARGERS shall be designated as a Derby Over.

 All runs scored by the opposition team during the Derby Over shall be counted as double runs.
(Minus Runs are also included)

These Rules and Regulations have been established to ensure the smooth, safe, and successful
conduct of the event. This event is being organized to celebrate the anniversary of our community
and to bring together members in a spirit of unity, appreciation, and enjoyment. As this is the first
time we are hosting such an event, your cooperation, support, and adherence to these guidelines
are greatly appreciated. With everyone's participation and commitment, we can make this
celebration a memorable and successful occasion for our entire community. Thank you for your
