Q1. What is difference between Spherical & Cylindrical lens?
A. Spherical lenses are lenses taken out from a sphere such as a ball.
Whereas, cylindrical lenses are lenses taken out from a surface of a cylinder like a tumbler.
Cylindrical lenses have an axis associated with them.
- Spherical lenses have same power in all meridian but cylindrical lenses have power at specific meridian.

A. Glass, Plastic (CR – 39), Polycarbonate, Trivex etc.
