Step 1:
Trainees are assisted to identify the meaning of business calculations and simple social
arithmetic. Trainees are guided to understand how calculations involving profit and loss,
discounts, commission, rates, taxes, and interest are applied in everyday business activities.
Step 2:
Trainees are guided through calculations involving profit and loss, percentage profit and loss,
discount, commission, rates, taxes, simple interest, and compound interest using board work,
charts, worked examples, and short video clips related to buying and selling activities.
Step 3:
Trainees are engaged in pairs or groups of five to solve problems involving business
transactions. They calculate profit and loss, determine discounts and commissions, compute
taxes and rates, and solve simple and compound interest questions using given examples.
Step 4:
One representative from each group of trainees is guided to present feedback on the procedures
used in solving business calculations and explain the importance of accurate calculations in
business operations and financial management.
Conclusion

commission, rates and taxes, percentage calculations, and interest calculations.

Trainees are assisted to identify the importance of statistics in daily life and technical fields.
Trainees are guided to understand methods of collecting, organizing, and presenting data.
Step 2:
Trainees are guided through collection of data, arrangement of data in ascending and descending
order, and calculation of range, median, mode, and mean using worked examples, charts, and
board illustrations. Trainees are also guided through preparation of frequency tables using tally
marks and frequencies.
Step 3:
Trainees are organized into groups to collect data such as ages, heights, weights, or waist sizes
from classmates. They arrange the data, determine range and median, prepare frequency tables,
and calculate mode and mean.
Step 4:
Group representatives present findings and explain procedures used in organizing and analyzing
data. The trainer guides discussions on the importance of accuracy and honesty in data handling.
