INSTRUCTION
You are required to design an original digital language test using any platform you are
familiar with (Google Forms, Moodle, Quizizz, EdPuzzle, Padlet, Flip, etc.).

You may choose:

Skill/component: Listening, speaking, reading, writing, vocabulary, or grammar


Proficiency level: Elementary, Intermediate, or Advanced
Target learners: Define a realistic learner profile

Submission Requirements

1. Test Specifications (Written Document)

Include:

a. Purpose of the test (diagnostic, formative, summative)


b. Target test-takers (age, level, context)
c. Skill/component assessed
d. Construct definition
e. Task types with justification
f. Scoring rubric or answer key
g. Time allocation
h. Platform selected and rationale

2. Digital Test Link

Provide a working link to your test. Ensure it is accessible and functional.

3. Rationale (300–400 words)

Explain:

Why you chose the platform


How your test ensures validity, reliability, practicality, and washback
Potential limitations and suggested improvements
AI Use Policy (Transparency & Academic Integrity)

You are allowed to use AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Grammarly, QuillBot, or similar) to support
your work. However, you must follow these guidelines:

1. Transparency Requirement

You must include a short AI Use Declaration (100–150 words) at the end of your submission
stating:

a. Which AI tool(s) you used


b. What tasks the AI assisted with (e.g., brainstorming, language editing, generating
examples)
c. How you modified or evaluated the AI-generated content

2. Acceptable Uses of AI

You may use AI for:

a. Generating initial ideas or outlines


b. Checking grammar and clarity
c. Suggesting examples of test items
d. Receiving feedback on your design

3. Unacceptable Uses of AI

You must NOT:

a. Submit AI-generated content without modification


b. Copy and paste full responses from AI as your own work
c. Use AI to complete the entire assignment without critical evaluation

4. Critical Engagement Requirement

You are expected to:

a. Review and revise any AI-generated content


b. Ensure alignment with course concepts (validity, reliability, etc.)
c. Demonstrate your own understanding in the final submission

5. Academic Integrity

Failure to disclose AI use or submitting unmodified AI-generated work will be considered a


violation of academic integrity.
