Reflection
1. Which of my teaching strategies work well? Why did this work?

The indirect instruction method worked well in my teaching because it encourages
students to think critically and independently. This approach allows students to explore
and discover concepts on their own, making learning more meaningful and engaging. It
fosters collaboration, as students often work together to solve problems or complete
activities. By guiding rather than directly instructing, I noticed that students retained
information better and were more enthusiastic about participating in lessons. This method
aligns well with developing higher-order thinking skills, which are essential for real-life
problem-solving.
2. What challenges did you face in preparing lesson plans, instructional materials, and
during demo-teaching?

One challenge I faced was finding the right motivation activities and tasks that align
perfectly with the lesson objectives. It was sometimes difficult to think of engaging and
creative ways to start lessons or maintain students' interest. Ensuring that all activities
matched the goals of the lesson required extra effort and time. Additionally, preparing
instructional materials that catered to diverse learning needs added complexity to my
planning process. During demo-teaching, managing time effectively and ensuring smooth
transitions between activities was also challenging.
3. What innovation or localized materials did I use/discover which I wish to share with
other teachers?

I utilized reliable online resources, including educational videos and lesson plans
available on the internet, to enhance my teaching. These materials provided fresh ideas
and effective teaching strategies that could easily be adapted to my classroom needs.
Using these resources saved time and ensured that I was delivering up-to-date and
engaging content. I also found that these tools helped in addressing different learning
styles, as videos and interactive materials made lessons more dynamic. I believe sharing
these resources with other teachers can improve lesson planning and teaching efficiency
for everyone.
