Some people believe the only goal of ads is to make people buy things
they do not need. I partially agree because ads do create artificial needs,
but they also provide important information to consumers

Many advertisements use psychological tricks to create desire.

Luxury brands make us feel we need a certain product to be successful.

Ads connect products with happiness or beauty.

However, advertising serves many other practical purposes.

Without ads, we wouldn't know about new, helpful technologies

Ads allow us to compare prices and find the best deals.

The industry creates jobs and funds free services like YouTube or news
sites.

Conclusion

To conclude, although advertising often encourages people to buy things


they do not strictly need, it remains a necessary tool for providing
information and helping the modern economy grow.
Nowadays, we see advertisements everywhere like on our phones, TV and
the street. Some people believe the only goal of ads is to make people
buy things they do not need. I partially agree because ads do create
artificial needs but they also provide important information to consumers.

On the one hand, many ads try to change how we feel so that we spend
money. They often use famous people or show beautiful lives to make a
product look special. For example, many people buy a new smartphone
every year, even if their old phone still works perfectly. This happens
because the ads make them feel that they need the newest item to be
happy or successful. This can lead to people wasting money on things that
are not important.

On the other hand, advertising is not always a bad thing. Its first job is to
give us information. If a company makes a new product that can help us
like a better computer or a healthier type of food, we only know about it
because of ads. Also, advertising helps us compare prices. When we see
ads from different stores, we can choose the one that is the cheapest.
Finally, ads pay for many things we use for free, such as YouTube videos
or social media. Without ads, we would probably have to pay for these
services.

In conclusion, it is true that advertisements often try to sell us things we


do not need. However, they are also a very important part of our world
because they give us information and keep some services free. We should
just be careful and think twice before we decide to buy something.
