The attention of Principals of all Government Degree colleges and
RJDCEs in the state is invited to the subject cited that the Department is
conducting interviews for selection of principals to the following Autonomous
Colleges as per the selection process mentioned in the reference cited above.

The following Guidelines shall be followed for the Transfer and Postings of
Principals to Govt Autonomous Degree Colleges:
[Link] posting and transfer of Principals to Govt. Autonomous Colleges shall
be taken up on the basis of [Link].42 duly following the guidelines
therein and considering the performance, counselling and AADPI scores.
[Link] Principals who are willing to apply for Autonomous Colleges should
submit the application Online through the link provided in the APCCE
website on or before L6'L2-2O24 (Monday), 5.00 p.m.

documentary evidences. All documents shall be uploaded as a single pdf
file.

5. The transfer of the Principals is subject to the ratification by the
Government.

Guidelines for Transfer and Posting of Principals to GoW. Autonomous
Colleges
The Autonomous Colleges are different from normal colleges in terms of their
scope, role and responsibility. The Autonomous Colleges design their own courses of
study in consultation with the University based on the local and other needs and
opportunities. Accordingly, special emphasis has been laid on providing requisite
resources to these Colleges so as to enable them to provide quality education. In
consonance with the national level objective of strengthening the Autonomous
Colleges, the Government of Andhra Pradesh, vide [Link].42 dated 04.06.200L,
issued special guidelines for recruitment of teaching staff and Principals for
Autonomous Colleges.
I. Guidelines for Appointment of Principals:
The Principals shall be posted on selection basis after screening on the basis
of the following criteria
a) Ph.D/ [Link] [n order of preference)
b) Minimum experience of one year as principal and should have a minimum
of three years of service before superannuation. If a principal with five
years of service before superannuation is not available, the principal with
three years of service before superannuation shall be posted.
c) Academic aptitude and administrative abilities suitable for running an
Autonomous College.
d) The tenure of a principal may be five years subject to performance.
e) The principal shall have a teaching workload of 3-4 hours a week.
