1. Uses of Mean, Median and Mode in Real World Scenarios.

Measures of central tendency such as mean, median, and mode are widely used in real-world
situations to summarize and analyze data. The mean (average) is used in education to calculate the
average marks of students and in economics to measure average income or production. The
median represents the middle value in a dataset and is useful when extreme values are present; for
example, it is often used to determine the median household income in a country to avoid
distortion caused by very rich individuals. The mode shows the most frequently occurring value
and is used in areas like marketing to identify the most popular product size or color purchased by
customers. These measures help researchers, businesses, and governments make better decisions
based on data..
2. Applications of Correlation and Regression in Computer Science.
Correlation and regression are important statistical techniques used in computer science and data
analysis. Correlation measures the strength and direction of the relationship between two variables.
For example, in website analytics, correlation can be used to analyze the relationship between the
number of visitors and sales. Regression is used to predict the value of one variable based on
another variable. In computer science, regression is widely used in machine learning, data mining,
and artificial intelligence. For instance, regression models can predict stock prices, forecast
website traffic, estimate software development costs, or recommend products in e-commerce
platforms. These techniques help computers learn patterns from data and make accurate
predictions.
3. Real World Applications of Probability Theory.
Probability theory studies the likelihood of events and plays an important role in many real-life
fields. It is used in weather forecasting to predict the probability of rain or storms. In finance and
insurance, probability helps estimate risks and determine insurance premiums. In computer
science, probability is used in algorithms, artificial intelligence, and machine learning to make
decisions under uncertainty. For example, spam filters in email systems use probabilistic models
to detect unwanted messages. Probability is also applied in games, medical diagnosis, quality
control, and traffic management. By analyzing uncertain events mathematically, probability theory
helps individuals and organizations make informed decisions.
