Exercise 1
Formalize each of the following assertions in propositional logic:
1. Ahmed is a footballer or he is a writer.
2. Ahmed is a footballer or he is not a footballer.
3. When the weather is nice, Ahmed plays sport.
4. When the weather is nice Ahmed plays sport, and the weather is nice so he plays sport.
Exercise 2
Let M and I be the following propositions:
M : Omar is good at math.
I : Omar is good at computer science.
- Give the formulas corresponding to the following assertions:
1. Omar is good at math but weak at computer science.
2. Omar is neither good at math, nor good at computer science.
3. Omar is good at math if he is good at computer science.

Let be the following propositions:
A : « Ahmed is a footballer »
M : « Mohamed is a footballer »
O : « Omar is a footballer »

- Give the formulas corresponding to the following assertions:
1. Ahmed or Mohamed is a footballer.
2. Exactly only one of Ahmed and Mohamed is a footballer.
3. At least one of the three is not a footballer.
4. Only one of the three is not a footballer.
5. Only two among the three are footballers.
6. If Ahmed is a footballer, Omar is a footballer ; otherwise Omar is not a footballer.
7. Ahmed is only a footballer if exactly one of the two others is a footballer.
8. If Ahmed is a footballer then at least one of the two others is not a footballer.
