That Rainy Day
It was a normal day just like every other day in my life. I set out of my home at the usual
time which is 8 PM just to find out that none of my friends were where I anticipated them to be
at. Out of confusion, I went to each of my friend’s house. Sadly, none of them were there except
for one whom I’m close friend with. I filled him up on the situation and we decided to give it
another shot and search for them elsewhere together. We searched for them everywhere we
could think of. Nevertheless, we couldn’t find them. We sat down and talked a little bit about
what we should do next now that we couldn’t find them. I came up with an idea. “We should go
for a walk and venture around”, I said. He agreed since it was just 9:30 PM o’clock and we had
nothing to do due to the fact that no one was around. So, that marked the start of our little
adventure.
As we went on with our journey, we reached a place with many unfinished apartments.
Just when we were about to continue our adventure, we both heard a thunder storm sound. We
looked up at the sky and it was all covered with cloud that looks like it’s about to rain. For our
surprise, it indeed started raining. We rushed to one of the unfinished apartments and took
shelter there. Just after a couple of minutes later we started to feel the coldness and harsh
weather shivering our body. We waited patiently until the rain passes by. But looking at it, the
rain didn’t feel like it was about to end so we got out of the apartment and went to another one.
Unlike the first apartment, the second one we got into was fully finished and gave us protection
from the coldness outside. We spent about an hour sheltering there. Finally, the rain started to
ease. Therefore, we took this golden opportunity to go back to our homes. We went to the
nearest train station and luckily the train was there so we got in. While we were on the train, the
rain stopped. Even after all the events we went through the time was 5 PM so we decided not to
go home and instead do what we were doing in the first place until the time is 6:30 PM. We
arrived at our destination. I exited the train first and as my friend was trying to exit too, the door
close in his face. He sarcastically waved and said bye as he went. I sat down and waited for his
return. A train came and as I was expecting him to be in it, he was not. A Police approached me
and asked,” Are you waiting for someone?”. I replied with yes. I was planning to go by train
without any ticket but I started feeling anxious because I didn’t want to get caught trying to do
so and especially after coming in contact with the police. At that moment I said to myself instead
of waiting for him here, I should take a train and wait for him at a place he would likely find me if
he starts searching. Afterwards, I bought a train ticket and went straight to the place by train.
After I arrived, I immediately got off the train and to my surprise he was standing there waiting
for me. I then knew I made a good decision. By that time, it was getting dark so we started
heading home while he told me about everything he went through after we got separated along
the way. We stopped by a donut shop and got ourselves some donuts to fill up our stomachs
after such a long day.
We reached our homes. It was finally time to say goodbye and mark the end of our little
journey we had including all the good times we have had throughout day before we set apart. At
the end of the day, we couldn’t find our friends but we still had lots of fun.
