Abstract:
The rapid growth of wireless communication has created a strong dependence on
cellular networks and internet connectivity for everyday communication. However, in remote
areas, disaster situations, or regions with limited infrastructure, these services may be
unavailable or unreliable. This project, titled “LoRaLine: SIM-Free Communication System”,
aims to develop a cost-effective and independent communication system that enables real-time
voice and text messaging without relying on SIM cards or internet services.
The proposed system utilizes wireless communication modules such as NRF24L01 and
LoRa to establish a direct peer-to-peer connection between devices. For real-time voice
transmission, NRF24L01 is employed due to its higher data rate and low latency, making it
suitable for audio communication. Additionally, LoRa technology is explored for long-range,
low-power text messaging capabilities. A microcontroller unit, such as ESP32, is used to
process input signals, manage communication protocols, and control peripheral components.
The system integrates essential hardware components including a microphone for
capturing voice, a speaker for audio output, and a display unit (OLED/LCD) for visualizing
text messages and system status. Users can input messages through buttons or a keypad, and
received messages are displayed in real time. The design focuses on achieving efficient data
transmission, minimal delay, and reliable performance in environments where conventional
communication systems fail.
