piece was written with the seam shift in mind. If you prefer to crochet in spiral/in

1. Stretch the Body color piece over the Inner Body oval sphere. The Inner Body piece should
be smaller than your outer Body piece. You will still need to fit the belly in place. If you are
having trouble fitting the inner Body inside the outer Body piece, remove stuffing until the
inner Body is small enough to fit inside.

**Note: When assembling your Adoribbit you will tuck the upper lip under itself so that
the starting Chains from Row 1 will be the bottom edge of the lip. As you position the
outer Body piece, the “Cheek” area on either side of the lip (under each eye) should be
pulled down to emphasize those curves while the center of the lip should be pushed
upward slightly to emphasize a rise in the center, as though the Adoribbit has a slight
frown.

 2. Insert a small amount of fiberfill under the body color to fill out the shape of the butt of the
Adoribbit.

3. Insert your chosen style of belly piece so that it spans the exposed part of the inner body. The
longer unfinished edge should be tucked under the upper mouth. The shorter unfinished edge
will be at the bottom of the Adoribbit body. The edges of the Belly piece should be tucked in
and fully hidden under the edges of the outer Body piece.

**Optional: Once you have the Belly piece pinned in place on the inner Body, you can
remove the outer Body piece and sew the Belly directly to the inner Body piece. Then
you can insert the inner Body back into the outer Body, making sure the edges of the
outer Body still cover the edges of the Belly piece. Continue to the stuffing instructions
below. Alternatively, you can leave the Belly piece pinned in place/unsewn and continue
to the stuffing instructions below, then sew the Belly and outer Body to the inner Body
piece at the same time.

 4. Insert a small amount of fiberfill under the Body piece to fill out the shaping around the eyes
of the Adoribbit, in a sort of half circle above/around the safety eyes. Position the eyes
carefully so that they are looking forward. If you are using 30mm sinker eyes, they will have
the exact right backing shape to help prop them up and hold the shaping in place. If you are
using non-sinker safety eyes, you will need to create that shaping entirely with fiberfill.

In the following photo, the eye on the left is shown before stuffing is added and before the
eye is positioned. The eye on the right is shown after stuffing with fiberfill and positioning
the eye.

The following photo shows both eyes stuffed and properly positioned. As you finish pinning
the face and shaping the eyes, make sure the mouth is shaped correctly too. The center of the
mouth should be higher than the sides of the mouth. The OC from the body color piece should
create the bottom line of the mouth, pulled to cover the upper edge of the belly piece.

 Once placement is verified and you are happy with the eye shape and butt shape, use the
Body color yarn tails to sew the outer Body piece in place and tack the Belly in place. If you
are not adding a tongue, weave in the ends. If you are adding a tongue, do not fully sew
around the mouth. Instead, sew most of the way around and then leave a small open/unsewn
space at the front of the mouth. Do not weave in the yarn tail yet – you will use this to sew the
tongue in place, then finish sewing the mouth and weave in the ends.
5. Pin the front Legs to the Body as shown, just behind the mouth area. Flatten the upper 1/3rd of
each Leg against the Body of the Adoribbit as you pin it in place.

 7. Make sure the Adoribbit sits firmly on a flat surface. Once you are satisfied with limb
placement, sew all limbs to the Body and weave in ends. Sew along the top edge of each limb
and sew any edge of the limb that touches the Body. Use small whip stitches to do this.
Optional: You can tack the inside toe (closest to the center of the body) on each front Leg
together so that the Adoribbit’s front feet are touching.
8. Pin to attach any extra pieces like Spots for the mushroom cap (or Body), Crown, Fins,
Horns, or Tongue. Once placement is verified, sew to attach. Weave in ends.

1. Stretch the Body color piece over the Inner Body oval sphere. The Inner Body piece should
be smaller than your outer Body piece. You will still need to fit the belly in place. If you are
having trouble fitting the inner Body inside the outer Body piece, remove stuffing until the
inner Body is small enough to fit inside.

**Note: When assembling your Adoribbit you will tuck the upper lip under itself so that
the starting Chains from Row 1 will be the bottom edge of the lip. As you position the
outer Body piece, the “Cheek” area on either side of the lip (under each eye) should be
pulled down to emphasize those curves while the center of the lip should be pushed
upward slightly to emphasize a rise in the center, as though the Adoribbit has a slight
frown.
2. Insert a small amount of fiberfill under the body color to fill out the shape of the butt of the
Adoribbit.
3. Insert your chosen style of belly piece so that it spans the exposed part of the inner body. The
longer unfinished edge should be tucked under the upper mouth. The shorter unfinished edge
will be at the bottom of the Adoribbit body. The edges of the Belly piece should be tucked in
and fully hidden under the edges of the outer Body piece.

**Optional: Once you have the Belly piece pinned in place on the inner Body, you can

 remove the outer Body piece and sew the Belly directly to the inner Body piece. Then
you can insert the inner Body back into the outer Body, making sure the edges of the
outer Body still cover the edges of the Belly piece. Continue to the stuffing instructions
below.
Alternatively, you can leave the Belly piece pinned in place/unsewn and continue to the
stuffing instructions below, then sew the Belly and outer Body to the inner Body piece at
the same time.
4. Insert a small amount of fiberfill under the Body piece to fill out the shaping around the eyes
of the Adoribbit, in a sort of half circle above/around the safety eyes. Position the eyes
carefully so that they are looking forward. If you are using 30mm sinker eyes, they will have
the exact right backing shape to help prop them up and hold the shaping in place. If you are
using non-sinker safety eyes, you will need to create that shaping entirely with fiberfill.

In the following photo, the eye on the left is shown before stuffing is added and before the
eye is positioned. The eye on the right is shown after stuffing with fiberfill and positioning
the eye.

The following photo shows both eyes stuffed and properly positioned. As you finish pinning
the face and shaping the eyes, make sure the mouth is shaped correctly too. The center of the
mouth should be higher than the sides of the mouth. The OC from the body color piece should
create the bottom line of the mouth, pulled to cover the upper edge of the belly piece.

Once placement is verified and you are happy with the eye shape and butt shape, use the
Body color yarn tails to sew the outer Body piece in place and tack the Belly in place. If you
are not adding a tongue, weave in the ends. If you are adding a tongue, do not fully sew
around the mouth. Instead, sew most of the way around and then leave a small open/unsewn
space at the front of the mouth. Do not weave in the yarn tail yet – you will use this to sew the
tongue in place, then finish sewing the mouth and weave in the ends.
5. Pin the front Legs to the Body as shown, just behind the mouth area. Flatten the upper 1/3rd of
each Leg against the Body of the Adoribbit as you pin it in place.
6. Pin the rear Legs to the Body as shown, just behind the front Legs. Flatten the upper 1/3rd of
each Leg against the Body of the Adoribbit as you pin it in place.
7. Make sure the Adoribbit sits firmly on a flat surface. Once you are satisfied with limb
placement, sew all limbs to the Body and weave in ends. Sew along the top edge of each limb
and sew any edge of the limb that touches the Body. Use small whip stitches to do this.
Optional: You can tack the inside toe (closest to the center of the body) on each front Leg
together so that the Adoribbit’s front feet are touching.
8. Pin to attach any extra pieces like Spots for the mushroom cap (or Body), Crown, Fins,
Horns, or Tongue. Once placement is verified, sew to attach. Weave in ends.
