ABSTRACT

This internship at iSpark Learning Solutions provided a comprehensive, industry-oriented, and


practically focused learning experience through the AI Engineer Accelerator Program: Build
Real-World AI Projects in 4 Industries (REMOTE), emphasizing modern Artificial
Intelligence technologies, AI engineering workflows, implementation-based learning, and real-
world problem-solving methodologies. The internship combined structured technical modules,
guided assignments, quizzes, hands-on implementation activities, project-based learning, and
practical evaluations to strengthen both theoretical understanding and technical proficiency in
key domains such as Machine Learning, Deep Learning, recommendation systems, Generative
AI, backend automation, AI deployment workflows, and production-ready AI systems. A major
component of the internship was the design, development, and study of a capstone project titled
“Retail AI Decision Assistant,” an AI-powered retail analytics and recommendation platform
developed to enhance customer personalization, improve recommendation accuracy, optimize
demand forecasting, and support intelligent business decision-making processes. The system
incorporated recommendation engines, forecasting models, analytics dashboards, visualization
components, and AI-driven decision-support functionalities using modern AI engineering
concepts, data processing pipelines, and visualization tools. Through this project, practical
exposure was gained in areas including recommendation architectures, machine learning
workflows, evaluation metrics, backend integration concepts, data preprocessing techniques, and
intelligent analytics systems commonly used in real-world retail and business environments. The
internship also introduced modern development tools, deployment methodologies, and cloud-
oriented AI engineering practices through implementation-focused sessions and practical
activities. Technologies and platforms such as TensorFlow, Keras, Streamlit, Docker, and
FastAPI concepts were explored extensively during the program to understand AI model
development, deployment, and scalable application workflows. In addition to technical learning,
the internship also focused on professional development through sessions on resume preparation,
portfolio building, LinkedIn optimization, communication skills, presentation techniques, and
interview readiness, contributing significantly toward career preparation and industry awareness.
Overall, the internship enhanced technical competency, analytical thinking, implementation
capability, teamwork, problem-solving skills, and professional confidence, thereby establishing a
strong foundation for future academic research, software development projects, and career
opportunities in the field of Artificial Intelligence and AI engineering.
