Tone & Visual Direction
MOOD
Warm, aspirational, cinematic. Soft natural lighting, real-feeling environments, shallow depth of field. The
video should feel like a short story — not an ad. Music builds gradually from soft piano in the opening to a
swelling, hopeful orchestral score by the final frame.
STYLE
Clean cinematic editing, ~1.9 seconds per cut on average. Smooth transitions, no harsh cuts. On-screen text
appears in clean sans-serif, kept short (max 4–5 words per frame). Color palette pulled from the Kanan brand
— deep blue and fresh green accents.
The Story Arc
Every great brand film follows a feeling, not a feature list. This one moves the viewer through five
emotional beats, ending in a clear call to action.
1 Confusion A student feels lost, surrounded by too many options.
2 Guidance Kanan steps in — calm, expert, personal.
3 Preparation Hard work meets the right support. Scores rise.
4 Visa Success The final hurdle, handled with confidence.

5 Arrival The dream becomes real. A new campus, a new chapter.
6 Brand Close Kanan as the trusted partner behind it all.

Production & Delivery
Production Process
Once this storyboard is approved, the project moves into AI-driven visual generation, scene-by-scene.
Each shot is built, refined, and reviewed internally before being assembled in the edit. The voiceover is
recorded in parallel with editing to keep the timeline tight. The final assembly happens in the last stage,
where music, sound design, color grading, and on-screen text come together into the polished cut.
Music & Sound Direction
The score builds gradually across the 30 seconds. It opens quiet and introspective — a soft piano motif
under the confusion scene. Warmth enters as the counseling moment lands. By the test prep and visa
beats, a steady rhythmic pulse takes over. The arrival scene is where the music opens up fully, swelling
into a hopeful, cinematic score. The final logo lockup resolves on a single warm chord. Reference genre:
modern cinematic / uplifting orchestral, similar to what premium edtech and lifestyle brands use globally.
Color & Visual Treatment
Soft natural lighting throughout. The opening scene leans slightly cooler to support the uncertainty of the
moment. From the counseling beat onward, the palette warms gradually — golden hour tones for the
airport and arrival scenes. The Kanan brand blue and green appear subtly through wardrobe,
environments, and the final logo treatment. No heavy filters, no saturated grading. The goal is a clean,
premium, real-feeling look.
Deliverables
The final video is delivered in a single aspect ratio of your choice — either 16:9 (landscape, ideal for the
website and YouTube) or 9:16 (vertical, optimized for Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts). The
preferred aspect ratio is locked in at the start of the project. The file is delivered in high-resolution MP4,
ready to upload anywhere. A version with embedded captions can also be provided on request.
Timeline & Next Steps
Project lock-in begins once this storyboard is signed off and the 50% advance is received. The first draft is
delivered within three working days of the advance payment. One round of revisions is included in the
timeline to fine-tune pacing, on-screen text, or any specific cut. The final master file is released after the
second 50% payment, on approval of the revised cut.
This document is a creative draft for client review. Final visuals, music, and pacing may evolve through
production rounds and approvals.
