Respected Sir/Madam,
I am writing this letter to bring to your kind notice a severe crisis being faced by the
residents of the Mukundra Vihar Housing Scheme, a residential colony launched and
developed by the Urban Improvement Trust (UIT) / Kota Development Authority.
For the past approximately 1.5 months, there has been absolutely no regular water
supply in our colony. Access to clean drinking water is a basic necessity, and the
complete disruption for such a long period has made daily survival extremely difficult for
all families living here. Unfortunately, no alternative or temporary arrangements, such as
water tankers, have been provided by the administration to mitigate this crisis.
Furthermore, as Mukundra Vihar is an official scheme of the authority, it is the
fundamental responsibility of the KDA/UIT to provide and maintain basic infrastructure.
Currently, the colony severely lacks proper roads, functional drainage systems (drains),
electricity infrastructure, and a secure boundary wall around the area. The absence of
these facilities compromises both the safety and hygiene of the residents.
We have high faith in your esteemed office and kindly request you to look into this
matter on high priority. We earnestly pray for the following immediate actions:
Restoration of regular, smooth drinking water supply to the colony.
Provision of temporary water tankers until the main supply line is fixed.
Allocation of resources for the development of pending roads, drains, electricity, and
boundary walls.
