PRICING SCHEDULE
1.1 PREAMBLE
The pricing document shall be read in conjunction with Notice of invitation to
Bidders, Instruction to Bidders and all Bidding Documents, Specification and
Drawings as listed in Contents of Bidding Documents.
The pricing of this contract will be governed by the Conditions of the Contract.
a) The contract is Item rate contract. Progress payments and variations will be
based measured quantities and as per schedule of payments.
b) This Contract adjusted by the Price Variation Formula detailed in PCC Clause
13.8 of Part - 3. The works are divided into Price Centre’s each representing
one or more groups of inter-related works forming part of the Works. The
detailed scope of works is given in Part-2, Employer’s Requirements, Drawings
and specifications.
c) The individual item descriptions within each Price Centre are indicative only of
the work included in this Contract and shall not be taken as defining the full
scope of work to be executed under the Price Centre of the Contract. The
detailed scope of works is given in Part-2, Employer’s Requirements, Drawings
and Specifications.
d) The item descriptions given, are general summaries only, therefore no
omission from, or error in item descriptions within this Pricing Document shall
warrant an adjustment of the Contract Price nor entitle the Contractor to seek
an extension of time under the Contract.
e) The amount quoted in the Pricing Document are for finished items of work
100% complete in all respects and shall be held to include all waste on
materials, duties, landing charges, shipping costs for transport by air, sea or
land (or any combination thereof), insurance, import taxes and duties,
unloading, storage, getting into position, hoisting, lowering, erection,
distributing to positions, fixing, temporary works including false-work and
formwork (shuttering), removal of debris, iron filings generated out of Rail
griding, all associated costs including taxes and royalty applicable as per
Government guidelines etc., labour, materials, scaffolding and staging, plant,
supervision, maintenance, Bidder’s profit and establishment/overheads, all
general risks, insurance liabilities, compliance of labour laws and taxes/duties
etc. as per statutory obligations set out or implied in the Contract including
GST, making good prior to handing over to the Employer and anything
reasonably to be inferred from the description of the item and indispensably
necessary thereto, and all other requirements of the Contract.
f) The activity descriptions for items within Price centers shall be deemed to
cover all aspects of the relevant item scope, irrespective of the fact that the
Bidder may not have inserted an amount against any item description. The

total amount of each Price Centre shall be deemed inclusive of all of the
Bidder’s obligations to execute the part of the Works covered by the Price
Centre and to perform all of his other obligations under the Contract in respect
thereof. The Bidder shall not be entitled to receive any further or additional
payment in respect of such Price Centre.
g) The total sum of price center A, preliminaries shall be equal to 5% of the sum
of the price centers B to F as executed under respective IPC after adjusting
the Discount(if any) offered by the successful bidder.
h) The total amount of each price centers B to F shall be equal to 95% of sum
the each price centers B to F as executed under respective IPC after adjusting
the Discount(if any) offered by the successful bidder.
i) Any variation in quantity shall be adjusted as per clause (j) below.
j) Variation in Bill of Quantity: Any work not covered in the Employer’s Drawings
or the Specifications or the Employer’s Requirements or other part of this
Contract document shall be considered as a Variation. Variations shall be
dealt as per Part 3 -Section X of PCC Part B clause no. SP 12.3
b) The Price Centre totals, and the Contract Price shall not be subjected to
adjustment by the Bidder in respect of any error or oversight in the preparation
of the Pricing Document, and they represent the full extent of the Bidders
entitlement to receive payment in respect of such Price Centers.
The Bidder is to note that some of the items are payable as a portion of the
indicated percentage on a monthly or quarterly basis or are paid
proportionately using the percentages of the items of works as noted in the
brackets (-- %) in the Price Centre A.
The bidder may quote his offer in INR(Indian Rupees only. The offer should
be in the following proforma as suggested in the price bid format:
Note:
(i) Tenderer shall quote for the Price Center B to F including all taxes, duties ,
cess, levies and shall quote against Customs duty and GST separately. Price
Center A has not been priced but will be 5% of the totals of Price Center B to
F quoted in the table.
# This project is eligible for Project Import Scheme under the heading 98.01
under Customs Tariff Act 1975. The Employer will provide necessary
certificate for the eligibility of this Project under this Act.
(ii) An amount of Rs 50,00,000 allocated for DB. The cost / charges towards DB
shall be borne equally by The Employer and the Contractor.
(iii) The total price quoted by the bidder including all taxes ,levies & duties
(including GST & Custom duty) will be considered for Evaluation. Provisional
Sum will not be considered for Evaluation.
(iv) The Customs duty and GST component shall be reimbursed to the Contractor
against the submission of proof of discharge of his [Link] quoted amount
by the bidder against GST & Custom duty columns shall only be considered
as the ceiling limit towards these tax components. But the actual tax
reimbursement will be made only to the extent and based on production of
documentary evidence towards discharge of contractor’s liability.
(v) If any rates of tax are increased or decreased, a new tax is introduced, an
existing tax is abolished in the course of performance of contract, an equitable
adjustment of the contract price shall be made to fully take into account any
such change by addition to the contract price or deduction therefrom, as the
case may be.

Buffer Stops The price shall include the cost of Design ,supplying
and installation of buffer stop as per Employer’s
Requirements, mainly consisting but not limited to
the following.
• The credentials of the Buffer stop supplier
shall be submitted to the Employer/Engineer
for prior approval. The supplier shall be with
a proven performance record in any metro
which are in service.
• Cost of developing, manufacturing and
supplying of Buffer and Wheel Stop including
cost of deployment of all plant and
machinery required.
• Cost for interfacing with designated rolling
stock contractor and carrying out simulation
analysis for Rolling stock- Buffer interface.
• Inspection and acceptance test.
• Detailed documentation including drawings,
technical details, calculations and
procurement as per Employer’s
Requirements
• Cost of Shipping, handling, transportation,
loading, unloading, stacking/ storing, lead,
lift of all material and all fittings fastening
and fixtures etc. complete including all
labour, tools and plants and consumables
from manufacturing plant to installation at
site.
• Spares buffer stops are to be handed over to
Engineer’s Stores.
• Installation of buffer stops at site as per the
Drawings and Specifications
• Engineer or his authorised representative
may witness the tests/inspection or conduct
test checks to be organised by supplier for
validation of test/inspection as specified in
Inspection and Test plan. The expenses of
such test including the travel and
accommodation shall be borne by the
supplier for three persons for each
inspection.
• No additional payments shall be made for
handing, re-handling, loading, unloading,
transportation or for any other activities
• Payment shall be made for dismantling and
reinstallation of buffer stops with the
approval of Engineer.
8 Manufacture and supply of Joggled fishplate with clamps suitable for 60E1

• The payment of this item shall be made to
the contractor as per pricing schedule after
completion of all works required for making
the track to final form including compliance
to laying tolerances.

EMPLOYER’S REQUIREMENT
APPENDICES
1. The Contractor shall provide Site Accommodation (total area approx. 200m2) for the
Employer’s Representative Staff according to the following schedule of offices:
2. Offices shall be accessible only from a corridor within the building. The corridor and
reception area entrances shall be provided with an external double door.
3. Materials for the construction shall be new, robust and durable. The building shall be
weatherproof, vermin proof, well insulated thermally and acoustically. Internal walls
shall be soundproofed. Electrical power and lighting, including all fixtures and fittings,
power, telecoms and internet sockets, shall be provided to each room, including air
conditioning and heating to maintain the internal temperature within the range of 20 to
24 degrees Celsius at all times. A standby generator shall also be provided and installed
with an automatic switchover.
4. Internal doors shall be flush, fitted with door closers, mortise locks with keys and lever
handles.
5. External doors shall be a pair of solid core doors, external quality, hung on heavy duty
hinges, one leaf fitted with barrel bolts top and bottom and the other leaf fitted with a
Yale or similar lock.
6. Windows, of area not less than 10% of the floor area, shall be provided to all rooms,
securely barred, fitted with blinds and having opening sections fitted with locks and
mosquito screens.
7. The building shall be provided with a continuous water supply and drainage to Kitchen,
Washroom and Toilets. The Toilets shall be equipped with low level suites and be
adequately ventilated through the ceiling.
8. The Kitchen shall be fitted out with a 2-drainer stainless steel double sink unit, hot water
heater, worktop with cupboards under, tiling above the sink and worktop and wall
mounted cupboards.
9. Fire and Safety regulations shall be complied with and firefighting equipment shall be
provided in accordance with the recommendations of the Tamil Nadu Fire and Rescue
Service.
10. The Contractor shall provide, erect and maintain appropriate name boards as specified,
for each of the offices. The wording shall be agreed with the Employer’s Representative.
11. The Contractor shall provide protective clothing and safety equipment for 12 persons,
comprising, as a minimum – Safety Helmets, Safety Harness, Steel-toed construction
shoes/boots (sizes to be notified), Day-Glo waistcoat, Industrial safety goggles, Industrial
gloves, Breathing Masks and Filters, Ear protectors, Heavy weight suits (sizes to be
notified), Lamps (with batteries), etc. as required by the Employer’s Representative.
12. The Contractor shall provide an adjacent shaded hard standing parking area for 12 cars.
13. The Contractor shall arrange for upkeep, service and security of the offices and
compound. These to be thoroughly clean-up and rubbish and waste to be removed at least
once per day.
14. The Contractor shall submit a detailed office layout plan showing all relevant details of
these site offices, not limited to that described above, which will require a notice from
the Employer’s Representative.
15. Contractor shall provide the following new furniture and equipment for the exclusive use
of Engineer’s staff.
