Guru: Good morning, class! How are you today?
Siswa: Good morning, Miss! We're fine, thank you.
Guru: Great! Today we will learn how to describe animals in English. Do you have pets at home?
Siswa A: Yes, I have a cat.
Siswa B: I have a bird.
Guru: Wonderful! Today you will learn to describe your pets and other animals in English. Are you
ready?
Siswa: Yes, Miss!
MAIN ACTIVITY (12-15 menit)
Step 1: Modeling from Page 141 (5 menit)
Guru: Please open your book to page 141. Look at the pictures. We can see how to describe animals.
Guru: (Pointing to butterfly) Listen carefully. Dewi says: "This is a butterfly. The color is pretty. It flies."
Guru: (Pointing to snake) Beni says: "This is a snake. It's a wild animal. It bites!"
Guru: (Pointing to cat) And here: "This is my cat. She has black fur. She sleeps."
Guru: Can you see the pattern? We use:
1. "This is a..." - to introduce
2. Description - what it looks like or what type
3. Action - what it does
Guru: Let's practice together. Repeat after me: "This is a butterfly."
Siswa: "This is a butterfly."
Guru: "The color is pretty."
Siswa: "The color is pretty."
Guru: "It flies."
Siswa: "It flies."
Guru: Excellent! Now the snake: "This is a snake."
Siswa: "This is a snake."
Guru: "It's a wild animal."
Siswa: "It's a wild animal."
Guru: "It bites!"
Siswa: "It bites!"
Step 2: Group Work - Table Completion Page 142 (7-10 menit)
Guru: Now turn to page 142. Look at this table. We will work in groups to complete it.
Guru: Form groups of 4 students. You will write the activities of animals in the Activity column.
Siswa: (forming groups)
Guru: Look at number 1 - Birds fly. That's already done. What about snakes? What do snakes do?
Group 1: Siswa C: Snakes... crawl?
Siswa D: Yes, and they bite.
Guru: Good! Write "crawl" or "bite". What about dogs?
Group 2: Siswa E: Dogs run!
Siswa F: They also bark.
Guru: Excellent! Choose one - "run" is perfect.
