Role Brief
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Java Engineer to join our team at Urbanic. The ideal
candidate will be responsible for designing and developing supply chain management and goods
management systems, with a focus on WMS/Supplier/Goods Listing systems. Additionally, they will
handle online technical issues and tickets related to supply chain systems and finance.
You’ll be required to -
- Design and develop supply chain management systems, including WMS, Supplier, and
Goods Listing systems, focusing on efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
- Take ownership of solving online technical issues and tickets related to supply chain systems
and finance, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to operations.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to prioritize and execute system
enhancements and optimizations.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in Java development, database
technologies, and optimization mathematics to contribute to continuous improvement
initiatives.
- Communicate technical concepts and solutions clearly and effectively to team members and
stakeholders, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
You Are The Right Fit, If You Have -
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (Computer, Aerospace, Electric,
Automation), or related technical/science fields.
- Minimum of 3 years of working experience in Java development, preferably in retail supply
chain systems.
- Strong coding skills in Java with a solid understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms.
- Experience with UNIX/Linux environment, database technologies, distributed systems, and
optimization mathematics (linear programming, nonlinear optimization).
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills with proficiency in written and verbal English.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to prioritize and
execute technical solutions.
- Proactive attitude towards learning and staying updated with industry trends and
advancements in technology.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in designing and developing scalable and
efficient supply chain management systems.
