Jori by Thea Koss

An extremely flattering A-Line Tee worked in an unusual way. The yoke is worked bottom up starting with
a crochet hook provisional cast on. Every size has the same number of pattern repeats in the yoke but has
different amount of stitches in each repeat. The yoke begins with a large amount of stitches and gradually
decreases before binding off. Once yoke is completed stitches live are picked up for the body and then knit
top down, increasing as you work to create the A-line. A deep flounce is very flattering to all body types and
a bit of lace work completes the look. There is no finishing besides weaving in ends. This is meant to fit loose.

Sizes X-Small (32), Small (34), Medium (37), Large (40), X Large (44) Note: The number at the sart of
the body quickly increases as you begin increases every 1 of 4 stitches.

Pico Bind Off

Step One:
To begin, cast on two stitches using the cable cast-on. Insert your right needle between the first and second
stitches on the left needle, Wrap the yarn around the needle as if to knit, pull up the loop through the front,
and place it on left hand needle in front of the first stitch.

Do this a second time, inserting the needle tip between the just-made stitch and the next stitch on the nee-
dle.
(Two stitches increased)

Step Two
Bind-off (cast off ) five stitches.

Repeat to end

Sleeves
Knit one at a time by picking up the stitches on holder or waste yarn and picking up underarm stitches.

Working on first sleeve place 42 ( 48, 54, 60, 66) stitches that are on hold back onto a working needle. Pick up
two stitches in the corner between the stitches on the hold and where you will be picking up the stiches you
cast on for the underarm.
3
Picking up the extra stitches on each side of the stiches cast on for the armhole will close up what
would be holes or spaces that often are obvious when you look at your work.

For this pattern these stitches are figured in for the stich count for the sleeve. In paterns where you
do not want these extra stiches it is stil good to pick them up and then knit them together on the first
round to get back to the correct number of stitches. This is just a little trick that avoids the holes.

Stich count explained:

42 ( 48, 54, 60, 66) stitches that are on hold
8(10,12,12,14) stiches that you cast on for the under arm placing a stitch marker ater 4 (5, 6, 6, 7) stitches to
mark the end of the round and pick up 2 more stitches to close the other corner so you will not have any
holes,
you now have 54 ( 62, 70, 76, 84) stitches

Knit 6 rows
Decrease row (7th row) Sl marker K2tog knit to two stiches before marker SSK

Repeat these 7 rows a total of 6 times ( sleeve will be 6 inches long before lace edge)
(12 stiches bound off ) 42(50, 58, 64, 72) stitches

Repeeat Lace and Pico Bind Off.

Optional: With a #D crochet hook single crochet aroun d the neckline

Blocking may not be needed but if you prefer just steam lightly or mist with a spray and let dry flat.
