TradingView Tools Master Guide

Comprehensive beginner guide to the main TradingView chart tools: what they do, why
they matter, and how to use them effectively.

1. Cursor / Crosshair
Lets you inspect exact candle price and time. Use it to read highs/lows and compare
candles.

2. Trend Line
Draw from one swing low/high to another to map direction. Helps identify
support/resistance and breakouts.

3. Ray
Like a trendline that extends infinitely in one direction. Good for projecting future levels.

4. Horizontal Line
Marks key price levels such as support, resistance, entry, stop loss, take profit.

5. Vertical Line
Marks events or sessions like London open, news release, start of trend.

6. Parallel Channel
Creates two parallel lines around price. Useful for trends and channel trading.
