What is Science?

Science is the systematic study of the natural world based on observation, experimentation, and

reasoning. It helps us understand the laws of nature and find solutions to problems.

A way of exploring and understanding the universe. It involves making observations, asking

questions, making guesses (hypotheses), doing experiments, and figuring out the results.

Curiosity: The desire to learn and understand more about the world. This is very important in

science.

Example: If you have ever taken apart a toy to see how it works, you were being curious and doing

a bit of science.

Branches of Science:

1. Physics – The study of matter, energy, and forces (e.g., electricity, motion, sound).

2. Chemistry – The study of substances and their properties (e.g., atoms, reactions).

3. Biology – The study of living organisms (e.g., plants, animals, human body).
