Example 1 – A Memorable Picnic
Date: 12 May 2026
Day: Tuesday
Dear Diary,
Today was one of the most exciting and joyful days of my life. Our school organized a picnic to the zoo, and I had
been waiting for this day for many weeks. Early in the morning, all the students gathered in the school playground.
Everyone looked cheerful and energetic.
We travelled by bus while singing songs and playing games. When we reached the zoo, I was amazed to see so
many animals and birds. We saw lions, tigers, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and colorful parrots. The monkeys
entertained everyone with their funny activities. My favorite moment was the toy train ride around the zoo.
After lunch, we clicked pictures and played games with our friends and teachers. The weather was pleasant, and the
whole atmosphere felt wonderful. I laughed so much today that my stomach started hurting.
I returned home feeling tired but extremely happy. This picnic gave me beautiful memories that I will always cherish.

Example 2 – Bad Result in Exam
Date: 5 April 2026
Day: Sunday
Dear Diary,
Today was a very disappointing day for me because I received my examination result. Although I worked hard in most
subjects, my marks in Mathematics were not good. When I first saw my result, I felt very upset and discouraged.
Some of my classmates scored much higher marks, and that made me feel even worse.
For some time, I sat quietly in my room and kept thinking about my mistakes. Then my parents came to talk to me.
Instead of scolding me, they encouraged me and told me that failure is a part of learning. Their words gave me
confidence and made me feel better.
I realized that I need to practice Mathematics regularly and manage my time properly. I have decided to make a
proper study timetable and work harder from tomorrow. I know that with determination and effort, I can improve my
performance in the next exam.

Example 3 – A Rainy Day
Date: 20 July 2026
Day: Monday
Dear Diary,
It rained heavily today, and the weather became extremely pleasant. Dark clouds covered the sky in the morning, and
soon cool winds started blowing. I stood near the window and enjoyed the fresh smell of wet soil. The trees looked
greener and more beautiful after the rain.
In the evening, my mother prepared hot pakoras and tea for the family. My brother and I could not resist going outside
to play in the rain. We splashed water on each other and laughed continuously. Although our clothes became dirty
and wet, we enjoyed every moment.
After returning home, I changed into dry clothes and sat comfortably with my family. Rainy days always make me feel
peaceful and relaxed. Today was truly a refreshing and memorable day.
