Dimensions

The document outlines the dimensions and structure of a proposed space settlement consisting of four tori—two large and two small—connected by a central hub. The total area required is 600 acres, accommodating 8,000 residents with potential expansion to 11,000, with larger tori designated for living and agriculture and smaller tori for industrial use. Each larger torus offers about 125 acres of usable space, while each smaller torus provides around 50 acres.

DIMENSIONS

ABSTRACT
To build our space settlement, it is essential to first define the dimensions of our
structure. Dimensions are the foundation of any design — they determine stability,
capacity, and sustainability. As our colony represents a peak of humankind’s
technological and engineering advancement, every measurement is carefully
optimized for safety and comfort.

Our colony consists of 4 tori in total — 2 large tori and 2 smaller tori —
connected and supported by a central cylindrical hub. These tori are hollow, ring-
like structures designed to generate artificial gravity through controlled rotation.

The total area required for our settlement is 600 acres, equivalent to 2,428,140
m². This provides adequate living, agricultural, and industrial zones for a
population of 8,000 people, with the capacity to expand to 11,000 residents
without structural modification.

The larger tori serve as the primary living and agricultural zones, while the
smaller tori are designed for industrial and storage sectors. The inner curved
surfaces of the tori are used as the main habitat areas.
Each larger torus provides approximately 125 acres of usable inner area, and each
smaller torus provides around 50 acres.
