Life. People. Noise. Stories.

(leans in slightly)

…and a little bit of pretending.

(Audience reacts)

Let’s go back to Pharaoh’s land…Fear grew in Egypt.

Pharaoh panicked.

(sharp, controlled)

(steps forward)

Every Hebrew boy…must die.

(Silence drops heavy)

Fear destroys.

But God protects.

(Mother enters with baby)

(Struggle — Egyptian falls)

(Silence)

Eh…ever tried to fix something…Or think that you’re fixing

and completely destroyed it? Or so he thought.

Moses
(alone)

I had everything… (pause)

Position. Power. A future written in gold.

(laughs bitterly)
And one moment… one mistake…
took it all.

(long pause, looks at his hands)

These hands…They were meant to lead…
Now they only remember what they’ve done.

(sits or drops to knees)

I ran.I hid.
I buried the man… but I could not bury the guilt.

(voice cracks)
Maybe… I was never meant for this.
Maybe I mistook privilege for purpose.

(quieter)
Maybe I am not the man God would choose.

(Shift — Pharaoh center stage, powerful, controlled)

Pharaoh

(quiet… dangerous calm)

(slow walk)

The slaves think they can leave.

(mocking)

“Let my people go.”

(laughs slowly)

Let them go where? Who feeds them? Who clothes them? Who gives them
purpose?

(leans forward slightly)

(spits name slightly)

His heart hardened.

Narrator 2
(to audience, slow, deliberate)
When power refuses to listen…
…it becomes dangerous—
and anything that becomes dangerous… must go.

(rising, determined)

(joining in, stronger)

…and now they are afraid because of me.

(He looks forward to the sea. Then back..the approaching army.)

(voice shaking)

Lord…

(long pause)

(almost a whisper)
There is no way.

(Silence… then a shift. Subtle at first. He steadies his breath.

Something changes.)

staff one last time.)

(The waters CRASH back…thunderous, overwhelming, final.)

(Silence… long… Let the audience feel it.)

(soft, disbelieving)

He broke what held them.
