Executive Summary
Our project aimed to introduce school students to the real meaning of
entrepreneurship and help them develop important soft skills such as communication,
leadership, teamwork, and creativity. We noticed that many students viewed entrepreneurship
only as starting a business, without realizing that it also involves problem-solving, taking
initiative, and thinking creatively.
To address this, we conducted an interactive session at the school. The program began
with a discussion on what entrepreneurship truly means, followed by simple examples and
group conversations. We then organized fun activities and games that helped students open up
and build confidence. The highlight of the session was a Pitch Fest, where students were
grouped and asked to present creative solutions to everyday problems. The event encouraged
participation, teamwork, and innovative thinking, and the best-performing teams were
rewarded.
Despite challenges in time management and coordination, the program was highly
successful. The students were enthusiastic, the teachers appreciated our efforts, and the event
was even featured in the Janmabhoomi newspaper. It became one of the longest and most
impactful outreach sessions organized by our batch.
Through this project, we learned valuable lessons in planning, communication,
leadership, and teamwork. It also gave us an opportunity to inspire young students to think
differently and believe in their own potential. Going forward, we hope to help the school start
a Student Entrepreneurship Club and connect the best student ideas to Amrita TBI for
further development.

ABOUT SSR at AMRITA
Student Social Responsibility (SSR) at Amrita is
a program that helps us understand the real
needs of people around us. It encourages us to
step out of our regular studies and look at how we can support our community in small but
meaningful ways.
Through SSR, we learn by doing. We visit places, talk to people, and try to help with the
skills we have. It teaches us teamwork, communication, and how to handle real problems,
things we don’t always get to learn from textbooks.
SSR reminds us that as students, we have a role in society too. Even a simple idea or a little
help from us can make someone’s life better. This program gives us the chance to grow as
responsible and caring individuals while doing something useful for others.
AMMA - OUR INSPIRATION
Amma, known for her unconditional love and compassion. She has
dedicated her life to helping people who are suffering and reminding
everyone to care for each other. Through her guidance, many homes have
been built for the poor, children receive support for education, and
women are given ways to become independent.
Amma welcomes everyone like a mother and encourages us to be
kind, selfless, and responsible toward society. We are grateful to
learn in a place inspired by her values of love and service.

PROBLEM STATEMENT
Entrepreneurship is becoming an important way to shape the future. In today’s world, new
ideas and problem-solving skills are needed everywhere — in technology, business,
healthcare, and even daily life. But many school students are not aware that they can also be
entrepreneurs at a young age.
Most students believe that entrepreneurship is only for adults who start big companies. They
don’t realize that it begins with small things like observing a problem, thinking creatively,
trying to solve it.
During our casual interactions with teachers and students, we noticed a few things, Students
feel shy to speak their ideas out loud. Many struggles with teamwork and leadership in group
activities. They don’t get enough chances to explore new ideas or think outside the box.
Confidence levels are low when it comes to presenting something in front of others. This
shows a clear gap between the skills students have and the skills they will need in the future
such as communication, creativity, decision-making, and courage to try new things.
So, we defined our problem as,
Students do not get enough exposure, encouragement, or opportunities to explore
entrepreneurship and essential life skills that help them become future leaders and
innovators.

PROJECT OBJECTIVES
Help students understand entrepreneurship in a simple and fun way.
Many students think entrepreneurship is only about starting a business, but it
is more about being creative and solving problems. We wanted them to learn
this in a simple and engaging way.
Improve skills like teamwork, communication, leadership, and creative thinking.
These skills are useful in school, career, and everyday life. Through activities
and group tasks, students got a chance to practice them naturally.
Give them a chance to speak up and share ideas through a mini–Pitch Fest.
Students often have great ideas but lack a platform to express them. The Pitch
Fest gave them an opportunity to think, plan, and present in front of others.
Motivate them to believe in themselves and think bigger about their future.
We aimed to motivate them to think about the future with confidence and
excitement. Even a small spark today can lead to a powerful journey ahead.
Encourage the school to continue similar activities through a student-led club.
With regular activities and guidance, students can continue learning and
improving these skills. This club can help build a culture of innovation in the
school.

ACTIVITIES UNDERTAKEN:
1. Understanding Entrepreneurship
Our session started by explaining what entrepreneurship actually means. We
didn’t want it to feel like a typical lecture, so we used real-life examples, short
stories, and quick question rounds. We talked about how anyone can be an
entrepreneur if they observe problems and try to solve them. In this we also
made understand what are the important skills one require for this challenging
world. This session went on for about 1 to 1.5 hours, and students were
actively responding and sharing their thoughts.
2. Fun Activities & Interaction
Next, we moved into a fun activity session for about 30 minutes. We included
simple games and small tasks where students had to work together. We also
invited a few of them to share interesting experiences or talents. This helped
break the silence, made everyone relaxed, and brought smiles to many faces.
We laughed together and truly enjoyed this part of the program.
3. Pitch Fest
Finally, we conducted the Pitch Fest, which was the highlight of the day.
Students were randomly grouped so everyone got a fair chance to meet new
teammates. Each group had to come up with a small idea to solve a problem
around them like issues at home, in school, or in their community. After
discussing, they presented their ideas in front of the class. We asked them to
focus on teamwork, clarity of speech, and creativity in their solutions. The
pitch-fest lasted for 1.5 hours.
4. Best Performer and Prize Distribution
We selected the best-performing group based on how well they worked
together and how clearly they presented their idea. We had some criteria
prepared for them based on what we presented, on which they were evaluated.
The winners received a cash prize of ₹1000, which made the moment even
more special and motivating for them.

PROJECT LEARNING
Working on this project was an amazing experience, for our group. It was more than just
finishing a task; it was about developing as a team, finding real world problems and help the
society from our side as students. We learned more valuable things from this which we don't
get from academics alone, from generating ideas to creating and presenting our final solution.

This project was an amazing experience for me personally. At first, we couldn’t get a
proper topic not because we were out of topics but we had many ideas, so unlike other
teams we discussed a lot within the team and I was glad how each member came up
with their ideas and perspective at last we selected entrepreneurship and skill
building. As the team lead, I felt proud to see everyone work together as one unit, and
I can confidently say that every member contributed equally throughout the project.
Our main aim was to make students aware about entrepreneurship, that it’s not just
about starting a business, but about turning a problem-solving idea into a practical
business model, which require both technical and soft skills. Though we had planned
the session for senior higher secondary students, we weren’t given permission for
class 12, so we ended up conducting it for class 11 alone. I handled the soft skills
part of the session, explaining students what are the required soft skills in
today’s world and the importance of it. To make them understand and
apply it we gave some tasks which they took up enthusiastically and
performed way above our expectations.
Managing time and balancing tasks was a challenge, but it helped me improve my
discipline and teamwork skills. Interacting with new individuals and students also
helped me become more confident and adaptable. I learned how to communicate ideas
clearly and handle unexpected situations during the session. It was also a good
opportunity to observe how different people think and respond to new concepts.
Overall, the experience helped me grow both personally and professionally, teaching
me the value of patience, coordination, and leadership.

In this SSR project, I engaged 11th-grade students on the topic of entrepreneurship
and skill development. I shared a real-life example of taking a risk that resulted in a
profit of ₹20,000 to show the importance of stepping out of your comfort zone. We
conducted a Pitch-fest where students worked in teams to present innovative ideas,
emphasizing teamwork, communication, and creativity. Additionally, I led a Table
Topics session to help students practice public speaking, encouraging them to speak
spontaneously for 30 seconds on various questions.
From this experience, I learned that entrepreneurship is about much more than earning
money it is about developing essential skills like leadership, communication,
teamwork, and problem-solving. I also realized that students respond better to
practical examples than theory, and structured activities can effectively reduce stage
fear and boost confidence. Organizing these sessions helped me improve my
planning, leadership, and mentoring skills, while understanding how to engage and
motivate an audience.
The key message I wanted to convey is that skill development and confidence-
building are as important as academics. By encouraging students to step out of their
comfort zones, practice public speaking, and collaborate in teams, we can help them
grow into confident, capable, and creative individuals ready to take on challenges
both in entrepreneurship and in life.

Working on this SSR project was a truly memorable and enriching journey. It was not
just about completing a task, but about stepping out of our comfort zone and making a
small but meaningful impact on young minds. Our topic, Entrepreneurship and Skill
Building, gave us the chance to inspire students to think creatively and confidently
about their future.
During the session, I focused on explaining how entrepreneurship begins with
identifying problems around us and converting them into opportunities. I also
emphasized the importance of developing key skills such as communication,
teamwork, and leadership the real foundation for any successful journey. To make the
session more interactive, we conducted engaging activities where students shared
their ideas, discussed freely, and came up with innovative thoughts that genuinely
impressed us.
One of the most rewarding parts was watching the students open up, share their
dreams, and take part enthusiastically in the Pitch Fest. It was inspiring to see how
quickly they grasped the concept of presenting their ideas like real entrepreneurs. This
experience taught me that motivation and the right guidance can truly bring out the
best in students.
Through this project, I learned valuable lessons about public speaking, coordination,
and event management. I also developed a better understanding of how teamwork and
proper planning can turn an idea into a successful execution. Above all, it made me
realize that teaching and sharing knowledge can be just as fulfilling as learning itself.
This project strengthened my belief that entrepreneurship is not just about business
it’s about mindset, creativity, and the courage to take the first step. The session not
only inspired the students but also helped us grow as confident, responsible
individuals ready to take on new challenges in life.

This project was one of the most meaningful experiences I’ve had during my time in
college. From the very beginning, we knew this session would be special because it
wasn’t just about teaching — it was about connecting with younger students and
sparking something new in them. Preparing for the event helped me understand how
important planning and teamwork are. Every small detail — from how we divided
tasks to how we interacted with the students — made a difference in how smoothly
everything went.
During the session, I got the chance to observe how students responded to different
activities. Some were shy at first, while others were full of energy and ideas.
Watching them slowly open up and participate actively gave me a lot of satisfaction.
It made me realize that real learning happens only when people feel included and
comfortable. That day taught me how important empathy and patience are while
guiding others.
The Pitch Fest was my favourite part of the program. It was amazing to see how
quickly the students came up with creative ideas once they started brainstorming in
groups. Some of their ideas were simple but very thoughtful, showing how deeply
they observe everyday problems. I also learned that when given the right
encouragement, young minds can do incredible things
In the end, I realized that entrepreneurship isn’t just about starting businesses — it’s a
mindset. It’s about being curious, solving problems, and having the courage to act.
Through this session, I not only helped others learn but also grew a lot myself. It gave
me more confidence to speak in public, organize events, and connect with people
from different backgrounds. Most importantly, it reminded me how fulfilling it is to
do something that can inspire others.

I presented a session on the importance of skill building and entrepreneurship for
students. explained how skills like communication, critical thinking, teamwork, and
self-discipline help students grow in both academics and real life and also introduced
entrepreneurship as a mindset that turns ideas into opportunities and shared simple
activities that build confidence and creativity. Overall, my presentation encouraged
students to step out of their comfort zone and start developing skills for their future
success.
My team mates gave me their honest feedback about my presentation so that I was
able to improve myself and they gave me some advice to improve my presentation
skills. In the time of presentation, the coordination was so important that they have to
change the slides at the right time and also when we had some activity sections our
team-work and coordination skills played a very important roll.
Through the SSR project, I gained a strong understanding of teamwork, coordination,
and shared responsibility. The experience improved my presentation skills and helped
me communicate more confidently. I developed a clear idea about entrepreneurship,
its mindset, and how skills like creativity, communication, and problem-solving shape
future opportunities. Overall, the project helped me grow both academically and
personally by exposing me to new ideas and practical learning.

CONCLUSION AND FUTURE WORK
The program was successful in creating awareness about entrepreneurship and building soft
skills in students. They became more confident, participated actively, and showed interest in
knowing more. In future, we plan to support the best ideas by introducing them to AMRITA
TBI where students can develop them further. We are also discussing the possibility of
starting a Student Entrepreneurship Club at the school to continue activities like this. With
continued guidance and opportunities, we believe the students can bring out wonderful ideas
and become future innovators.
