Lab: Automating Incident Creation,
Estimated Time: 90 minutes
Lab Scenario
The StockTrader support team plans to use
Orchestrator, Operations Manager, and Service
Manager to automate their business process
requirements.
They have a need to ensure high availability of the
StockTrader website. This means that when incidents
occur, they need to be resolved in the most effective
manner.
If the StockTrader website is not functional, the
solution should allow for an automatic restart of the
StockTrader website by either attempting to start the
website, or if that fails, restarting the server that
hosts the website.
Approval is required before the web server
can be restarted.
Lab Review
• What must you do to a Runbook before it
can be run in Orchestrator?
• What Service Manager Activity is used to
retrieve details of Incidents in Service
Manager?
Module Review and Takeaways
