Cooling Status: Active / Emergency / Failed
Active: When cooling is running and emergency fan is not running.
Emergency: When emergency fan is running.
Failed: When cooling is not running and emergency fan is not running.
Emergency Fan
The emergency fan will run when:
1. The status of Smoke Sensor is Normal and
2. One or more of the following events is happening:
a. Cooling Operation Mode is Fault shutdown
b. Cooling communication lost
c. Maximum cold aisle temperature threshold violation
The emergency fan will stop when smoke is detected or all above a, b, c events are cleared.

Condensate Drain Pump, optional accessory, the low noise DC brushless water pump has a lift that reaches 5 meters
(16.4 ft).
PTC Heater (On / Off)
Positive Temperature Coefficient (PTC) Heater, optional accessory, the structure is compact and the heating is uniform.
The PTC heater installed in the indoor unit is used for heat compensation when the IT load is low.
IDU Fan (On / Off)
In-Door Unit Fan, The DC fan is continuously variable in speed and can quickly respond to heat loads. It features high
airflow, high efficiency, long service life, and low noise.
Low Temp Kit (SV On / SV Off)
SV stands for Solenoid Valve, Low Ambient Temperature Kit, optional accessory, the low ambient temperature kit
provides the capability to operate in temperatures below –15°C (–5°F).
No description for other items as they are mainly used for troubleshooting by service people.

Reboot Monitor
Reboot MDC Monitor will turn off front and back lights, emergency fans, alarm beacon, and they will be restored when

Restart Device Communication Server
Restart Device Communication Server will interrupt communication between all plugged devices.
Restart Web Server
Restart Web Server will interrupt web (HTTP/HTTPS) access and the LCD Display.
Restart SNMP Server
Restart SNMP Server will interrupt SNMP and EcoStruxure access.
Reset All
Reset all configurations exclude the checkboxes selected.
Bypass Control
Switch the UPS to bypass mode or bring the UPS to online mode from bypass mode.
Bypass On
Switch the UPS to bypass mode of operation.
Note: Power to the connected equipment will drop if the mains voltage is not within the threshold limits.
Bypass Off
Bring the UPS out of bypass and restore clean power to the connected equipment.

When TCP/IP uses DHCP mode, leave both two DNS server fields empty to request DNS addresses from DHCP if
available.
HTTPS is forced to enable.
If no valid certificate and private key is loaded, the Easy MDC generates a default certificate. You can use the default
certificate for basic encryption-based security, but a security alert message displays whenever you log on.
Add or Replace Certificate File
Choose both the certificate file and private key file at one time to use the new certificate for the SSL.
Remove
Delete the current certificate and generates a self-signed certificate to replace the removed certificate.
The SSH interface and Console Port (on front panel of Monitor) is used for installation configuration and advanced
troubleshooting, normal users should not use it. Service people have the password to login. Users have the control.

User Profile field is editable when SNMPv3 Access is enabled.
Note: It will not remember the previous passphrases, so it always updates them to the current input when click OK.
Trap Type: SNMPv1, SNMPv2c, SNMPv3.
Test: Send a test trap.
SNMPv1/SNMPv2c: input a community name.
SNMPv3: choose a SNMPv3 profile from the profiles added in SNMPv3 page.
It will send a test mail after you check the test box and apply.
User Type
The Super User can use all of the menus in the Web UI. The Super User cannot be deleted.
- The default user name and password for the Super User are both apc.
- The Super User can manage another account (add, delete, change password).
An Administrator can use all of the menus except User Management in the Web UI.
A Read-Only User can access to the same menus as an Administrator, but without the capability to change
configurations, control devices, delete data.
Password criteria: 8 to 15 non-empty characters, excluding Single quote (‘), Double quotes (“), Backslash (\).
Network Time Protocol (NTP)
When TCP/IP uses DHCP mode, leave both two NTP server fields empty to request addresses from DHCP if available.
Emergency Fan and Alarm Beacon are emergency parts which work rarely, should test them regularly to check their
functionality.
The test commands will not trigger the Event Action.
Cancel Test Commands will cancel all previous test commands which are not terminated.
