PC Build 2:

To build a programming powerhouse for Rs 300,000, we are prioritizing the "Holy Trinity" of development:
High Core Count (for compilation), High RAM Capacity (for Virtual Machines and Containers), and PCIe
Gen4 Speed (for fast file indexing).

Here is the professional proposal for your second assignment build.

💻 PC Build 2 – Programming & Virtualization

Total Budget: Rs 297,500

1. Bill of Materials (BOM)

Component Model / Specification Price (Rs) Status

CPU AMD Ryzen 9 7900 (12C / 24T) 118,500 New

Motherboard MSI PRO B650M-P (DDR5) 43,500 New
RAM 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5 6000MHz 34,000 New
SSD Lexar NM790 1TB Gen4 (7400MB/s) 21,500 New
GPU AMD Radeon Graphics (Integrated) 0 -
PSU Corsair CV650 80+ Bronze 17,500 New
Case 1stPlayer Trilobite T3 (Mesh Front) 11,500 New
Monitor Xiaomi 24" 1C 1080p IPS 32,000 New
Keyboard Redragon K552 Mechanical 11,000 New
Mouse Logitech G102 Lightsync 8,000 New
Total 297,500

2. Justification

• CPU (Ryzen 9 7900): A 12-core monster. For programming, more cores mean faster code
compilation and the ability to run multiple Virtual Machines (VMs) or Docker containers without
the system lagging.
• RAM (32GB DDR5): 16GB is no longer enough for modern IDEs like IntelliJ or Android Studio when
combined with Chrome. 32GB provides a comfortable buffer for virtualization.
• SSD (Lexar NM790): This is one of the fastest Gen4 drives available. It ensures that opening large
projects or searching through codebases happens instantly.
• Peripherals: The Redragon K552 offers mechanical switches which provide tactile feedback,
reducing typing errors during long coding sessions. The Logitech G102 is highly durable with
precise tracking for navigating complex UI layouts.

3. Assembly Plan

1. Preparation: Unbox the motherboard and place it on its anti-static box.

2. Processor & RAM: Install the Ryzen 9 CPU into the AM5 socket. Insert both 16GB RAM sticks into
slots 2 and 4 for dual-channel performance.
3. Storage: Remove the M.2 heatsink on the motherboard and secure the Lexar NVMe SSD.
4. Case Mounting: Install the I/O shield, then secure the motherboard into the 1stPlayer case using
the provided screws.
5. Power: Connect the 24-pin motherboard cable and the 8-pin CPU power cable. Route them
through the back for clean airflow.
6. Peripherals: Connect the K552 keyboard and G102 mouse to the rear USB 3.2 ports for the lowest
latency.
7. Software: Enter BIOS and enable AMD EXPO to ensure the RAM runs at the full 6000MHz.

4. Performance Expectation

• Compilation: Will compile large C++ or Rust projects 3x faster than a standard quad-core office
PC.
• Virtualization: Can comfortably run 3-4 Ubuntu Virtual Machines simultaneously with 4GB RAM
allocated to each.
• Multitasking: Zero slowdown while running an IDE (VS Code), a local database server, and 20+
browser tabs.

5. Upgrade Path (+Rs 50,000)

If given an extra Rs 50,000, the first upgrade would be another 32GB of RAM (Total 64GB) and a Dual
Monitor setup.

• Why? Professional developers often need one screen for code and a second for
documentation/debugging. Extra RAM ensures that even the most memory-intensive
environments (like running a local Kubernetes cluster) won't hit a bottleneck.

PC 3 – Office Build (Rs300,000):
 Optimize for reliability, efficiency, and comfort
for long work hours.
 Focus: fast boot, multitasking, and cost-saving.
For the Office Build, we are shifting the focus away from raw power and
toward ergonomics, reliability, and silence.

An office PC needs to stay "snappy" for years, handle hundreds of browser

tabs and heavy Excel files without slowing down, and most importantly, be
comfortable for a user sitting in front of it for 8+ hours a day.

🏢 PC Build 3 – Ultimate Office & Reliability

Total Budget: Rs 298,500

1. Bill of Materials (BOM)

Component Model / Specification Price (Rs) Status

CPU Intel Core i5-14500 (14 Cores) 78,500 New
Motherboard ASUS Prime B760M-A WiFi 46,500 New
RAM 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5 5200MHz 32,000 New
SSD Samsung 980 Pro 1TB Gen4 26,500 New
HDD 2TB WD Blue (Bulk Storage) 16,500 New
GPU Intel UHD 770 (Integrated) 0 -
PSU Silverstone 650W 80+ Gold 22,500 New
Case BeQuiet! Pure Base 500 (Silent) 21,500 New
Monitor Dell 27" P2722H Professional 38,000 New
Keyboard Logitech K380 Multi-Device 9,500 New
Mouse Logitech M650 L (Ergonomic) 7,000 New
Total 298,500

2. Justification

• CPU (Intel i5-14500): This processor has 14 cores. While that sounds like
a lot for "office work," it allows the PC to handle background tasks (anti-
virus, cloud backups, system updates) without the user ever feeling a
"hiccup" in Word or Excel.
• SSD (Samsung 980 Pro): We chose one of the most reliable drives in the
world. It features high endurance (TBW), meaning it is less likely to fail
over years of constant data writing.
• Case (BeQuiet!): This case is lined with sound-dampening foam. In a
quiet office, a loud PC fan can be distracting; this case ensures the build
remains nearly silent.
• Monitor (Dell P-Series): Dell’s professional monitors have "ComfortView
Plus," which reduces blue light emissions to prevent eye strain during
long shifts.
• Peripherals: The Logitech M650 mouse has a contoured shape for better
grip, and the K380 keyboard is compact and allows you to switch
between typing on your PC and your phone/tablet with one button.

3. Assembly Plan

1. Motherboard Prep: Install the i5 processor and DDR5 RAM.

2. Storage: Install the NVMe SSD for the OS and the 2TB HDD for
automated backups of company documents.
3. Silence Optimization: When installing the motherboard into the BeQuiet
case, ensure all rubber grommets are secure to prevent vibration noise.
4. Cabling: Use the built-in cable management channels in the case. Better
airflow means fans don't have to spin as fast (making it quieter).
5. Peripherals: Connect the Bluetooth/Logi Bolt receiver to the front USB
port for the best signal strength.
6. BIOS & OS: Set the fan curve to "Silent Mode" in the ASUS BIOS.
4. Performance Expectation

• Boot Time: Under 8 seconds from button press to Windows desktop.

• Efficiency: The 80+ Gold PSU ensures very little electricity is wasted as
heat, keeping office power bills low.
• Multitasking: Can easily handle 50+ Chrome tabs, 3 heavy Excel
workbooks, and a Zoom call simultaneously without a single lag spike.

5. Upgrade Path (+Rs 50,000)

If given an extra Rs 50,000, the best upgrade would be a Dual Monitor Setup
(Add a second 27" Dell Monitor) and a Logitech MX Master 3S Mouse.

• Why? Studies show that dual monitors can increase office productivity
by up to 40%. The MX Master 3S mouse adds an ergonomic thumb rest
and an electromagnetic scroll wheel that can fly through 1,000 lines of a
spreadsheet in one second.
