6. How many brothers and sisters do you have? I have two sisters and two brothers.

7. What kind of music do you like? I am quite fond of classical and soft music. It is very
peaceful and helps me relax after a long day at school.

8. What do you like to do in your free time? When I'm not teaching, I really enjoy cooking for
my family and tending to the small garden on my balcony.

9. What sports do you enjoy playing? I don't play competitive sports anymore, but I enjoy doing
yoga in the morning and walking in the park to stay healthy.

10. What are your hobbies? My main hobbies are reading novels, gardening, and trying out new
recipes in the kitchen.
11. How many hours a day do you work? I usually spend about 8 hours at school teaching, and
then I spend another 1 or 2 hours at home grading my students' papers.

12. Do you live in a house or a flat? I currently live in a house with my husband and our two
children.

13. How many languages can you speak? I speak Vietnamese as my mother tongue, and I can
speak English at a basic level.

14. Why are you learning English? I am learning English because I want to travel abroad with
my family in the future, and it also helps me access more teaching materials.

15. What do you enjoy doing in your free time? I love spending quality time with my husband
and kids, usually having dinner together or watching a nice movie.

Part III: Topic

Topic 1: Talk about your day at school.

● Answer: My typical day starts quite early in the morning. I usually wake up around 5:30
a.m. to prepare a healthy breakfast for my husband and my two teenage children. By 7:00
a.m., I ride my motorbike to the high school where I work. My first class usually starts at
7:30 a.m. During the day, I spend most of my time teaching Literature to my students,
discussing beautiful poems and stories with them. When I don't have classes, I sit in the
teachers' room to grade papers and prepare my lesson plans for the next day. My workday
usually finishes at about 4:30 p.m. After class, I often stop by the local market to buy fresh
meat and vegetables. Then, I head home to cook a warm, delicious dinner for my family.
We love sharing stories about our day around the dinner table.

Topic 2: Talk about your last summer holiday.

● Answer: Since I am a teacher, I am very lucky to have a long summer break every year.
Last summer, my family and I decided to take a wonderful trip to Da Nang city for five
days. We chose this destination because it is famous for its beautiful beaches and friendly
 people. We travelled there by airplane. Every morning, we woke up early to go swimming
in the cool, clear water of My Khe beach. The fresh sea air made me feel completely
relaxed. In the afternoons, we rented a car to visit famous historical sites like Hoi An
Ancient Town and the Ba Na Hills. My favourite part of the trip was eating the local food,
especially the fresh seafood which was incredibly delicious and reasonably priced. I really
enjoyed this holiday because it gave me a great chance to rest after a busy school year and
create beautiful memories with my family.

Topic 3: Talk about your family.

● Answer: There are four members in my family: my wonderful husband, our two teenage
children, and myself. My husband is forty-eight years old, and he works as a manager in an
office. He is a very kind and supportive man who always helps me with the housework
when I am busy. My oldest child is a son who is currently studying at university, and my
younger daughter is in her final year of high school. They are both very obedient and hard-
working students. We are currently living together in a cozy house in a quiet and safe
neighbourhood in Hanoi. Although everyone in my family has a busy schedule during the
week, we always make sure to spend the weekends together. We often cook special meals,
clean the house, or simply sit in the living room to watch a comedy movie. I love my
family deeply because they are my biggest motivation in life.

Topic 4: Talk about a place you would like to go in your free time.

 ● Answer: When I have some free time, my absolute favourite place to visit is Thong Nhat
Park, which is located just a few kilometers away from my house. It is one of the largest
and most beautiful parks in Hanoi. I usually go there early in the morning on weekends or
sometimes in the late afternoon after I finish my teaching work. I often put on my sports
shoes and spend about an hour walking slowly along the quiet paths around the big lake.
Sometimes, I meet my friends there to do some light stretching exercises or just sit on a
bench to chat. I really love going to this park because the atmosphere is incredibly peaceful
and the air is very fresh with thousands of big green trees. It is the perfect place for me to
escape the noisy, crowded streets of the city and find some peace for my mind.

Topic 5: Talk about your favourite season in a year.

● Answer: I have lived in Hanoi for my whole life, and my absolute favourite season of the
year is Autumn. In Northern Vietnam, autumn usually starts in September and lasts until
late November. During this time, the weather is incredibly pleasant. The hot, heavy air of
summer disappears, and we get cool, gentle breezes with clear, blue skies. I love autumn
for several reasons. First of all, the scenery in the city becomes very romantic when the
leaves on the trees turn yellow and gently fall onto the streets. It is the perfect weather to
put on a light coat and take a walk around Hoan Kiem Lake. Furthermore, for a teacher like
me, autumn is very special because it marks the beginning of a brand new school year.
Seeing my students come back to school in their clean uniforms always brings me a
wonderful feeling of excitement and hope.

Topic 6: Talk about your favourite teacher.

 ● Answer: The person who deeply inspired me to become a teacher is Mrs. Lan, my former
high school Literature teacher. She was a gentle and elegant woman who always wore a
traditional Vietnamese Ao Dai to class. She had a very warm smile and a soft, expressive
voice that caught everyone's attention. I admired her greatly because she had a unique and
wonderful way of teaching. Instead of just reading from the textbook, she made every
poem and story come alive through her emotional storytelling. She was also incredibly
patient and kind. If a student gave a wrong answer, she never got angry; instead, she gently
guided them to find the right one. She truly cared about our futures and constantly
encouraged us to read more books and think creatively. Her dedication and love for her
students are the main reasons why I chose this noble profession.

Topic 7: Talk about your best friend.

● Answer: My best friend is a woman named Mai, who is also a high school teacher at the
same school where I work. We are the same age, and we have been close friends for over
fifteen years. Mai is a very elegant and neat person with short black hair and a very
friendly, open face. She always knows how to make people around her feel comfortable.
The reason she is my best friend is that we share so many things in common. We both have
a deep passion for education, and we often sit together to discuss our lesson plans or how
to help difficult students. Besides work, we also share the same experiences of being
mothers to teenage children. Whenever I feel stressed with my work or family life, Mai is
always there to listen to me and give me wonderful, practical advice. I am very lucky to
have her.

Topic 8: Talk about one of your house/flat.

● Answer: I currently live with my family in a lovely, comfortable house located in a

peaceful, small alley in Hanoi. Because it is in an alley, we don't have to hear the loud
noise of the traffic from the main streets. Our house has three floors. On the first floor, we
have a cozy living room and a modern kitchen where I spend a lot of time cooking. The
second and third floors have three bedrooms and a small reading room filled with books.
My favourite part of the house is the small balcony on the top floor. I have planted many
colourful flowers and some small vegetable pots there. I truly love living in this house
because it is very safe, convenient, and close to the school where I teach. More
importantly, every corner of this house is filled with happy memories of my husband and
my children growing up.

Topic 9: Talk about one of your hobbies.

● Answer: Like many other women, one of my greatest hobbies is cooking and baking for
my family. Because my weekdays are quite busy with teaching and grading papers, I
usually dedicate my weekend mornings to this hobby. I love waking up early on Sundays,
going to the large market near my house, and picking the freshest ingredients. When I am
in my kitchen, I often try out new recipes that I find on the internet, or I cook complicated
traditional Vietnamese dishes like Pho or Bun Cha. I really enjoy doing this because
cooking is a wonderful way for me to relieve stress. It requires my full attention, so I can
forget about all my worries at work. The most rewarding part is seeing the happy smiles on
the faces of my husband and children when they enjoy the delicious, healthy meals that I
have prepared with all my love.
Topic 10: Talk about you hometown/home village.

● Answer: I am very proud to say that my hometown is Hanoi, the beautiful and historic
capital city of Vietnam. It is located in the Red River Delta in the north of the country.
Hanoi is very famous for its rich culture and long history. If you come here, you can visit
many wonderful tourist attractions such as the peaceful Hoan Kiem Lake, the historic
Temple of Literature, and the busy, colorful streets of the Old Quarter. I deeply love living
in my hometown. Even though the city is developing very fast and the traffic can be quite
crowded during rush hours, Hanoi still keeps its unique, charming beauty. I love the
traditional food here, especially a hot bowl of Pho in the early morning. Moreover, as a
teacher, I really appreciate the strong emphasis that Hanoians place on education and
preserving our cultural values for the next generations.
