Introduction Thank you for inviting me today. I’m really happy to be here.
My name is Milad Adineh. I actually started my career as an engineer, and over time I became
more fascinated by how data. That curiosity pushed me to study Data-Driven Design at Utrecht
University and moved into data analytics and business intelligence.
Since then, I’ve worked on several projects that combined finance, analytics, and reporting —
building dashboards, automating data processes, and helping teams understand their key
metrics in a clear, practical way.
Motivations for Applying I’m motivated by roles that combine finance, analytics, and business control.
This position allows me to use both my analytical and financial skills, bridging data insights
with real business outcomes.
I’m looking for a role where I can build scalable BI and reporting solutions, not just
maintain existing ones.
I’m excited by opportunities that involve cross-functional collaboration, where finance,
operations, and technology teams work closely together.
Reasons for Choosing This As far as I know your team brings together the areas I enjoy most — finance, business control,
Particular Role and data analytics — into one integrated position.
I see it as a chance to work closer to financial decision-making while still using my technical BI
skills in Power BI, SQL, and data modeling.
It’s a role that offers structure and creativity at the same time — building dashboards and
systems, but also thinking about what those numbers mean for the business.
It also gives me the opportunity to develop my controlling skills further, which is something
I’ve wanted to grow after working closely with finance teams in previous roles.
controlling skills are about:
1. understanding how a business earns, spends, and allocates money (Budgeting and
Forecasting)
2. turning financial data into insights,
3. and helping managers make better financial decisions (Performance Monitoring, Financial
Reporting, Scenario Analysis)
My Achievements In my recent projects, I helped finance teams move from Excel-based reporting to automated
Power BI dashboards. This reduced manual work, made month-end reports faster, and gave
everyone a clearer view of performance.
I built automated data flows between finance and operations systems, so managers could see
real-time updates on costs and revenues instead of waiting for end-of-month summaries
(Outstanding).
One of my favorite achievements was improving data quality checks — small things like
flagging missing values or inconsistent entries — which increased trust in financial dashboards
and made decision-making smoother.
I supported forecasting by creating models that compared planned vs. actual results, helping
teams understand where deviations came from and how to adjust budgets.
I worked closely with non-technical colleagues to simplify complex insights — for example,
turning long financial tables into easy-to-read visuals that made meetings shorter and more
focused.
I introduced structured documentation for KPIs and reporting logic, which helped new team
members and stakeholders understand the meaning behind each metric.
KPI stands for Key Performance Indicator.
Financial KPIs Revenue growth per branch or per region
Operating margin / profitability
Budget vs. actual costs (variance)
Monthly recurring revenue or cash flow trends
Operational KPIs Cost allocation
Customer acquisition and retention rates
Break-even point per location
BI & Data KPIs Dashboard refresh time
Data accuracy
Report adoption rate (how many people actually use the
dashboard)
What I Can Bring to the Beside Technical Expertise: Skilled in Python, SQL, Power BI, and data
Finance Team modeling to build automated and reliable reporting systems.
A sense of purpose in everything I do.
I don’t work just to produce reports — I try to understand the bigger goal and make my
contribution meaningful for the team and the company’s vision.
A rare mix of finance logic and data engineering mindset.
Most people come from either a finance or a data background — I come from both. I
understand how to interpret numbers like a controller, but I can also design the systems that
produce them. That combination helps me bridge gaps between finance, BI, and operations.
Turning complexity into clarity.
I’ve learned to take messy or scattered data and translate it into simple, visual stories that
people actually use. My dashboards don’t just show numbers — they answer questions and
trigger better decisions.
My engineering background makes me analytical and structured, but I also
enjoy explaining insights in a story-like way that connects with people.
Empathy and collaboration.
I work best when I understand the people behind the data — their goals, frustrations, and
pressures. That empathy helps me build sth that actually serve their daily work.

Why I Am the Right and Fit I believe I stand out for a few clear reasons that align well with
Candidate the needs of this role
My path from engineering to data science gives me both structured problem-
solving and analytical mindset
Proactive and reliable mindset: I take ownership of my work, follow through
on details, and continuously look for ways to solve the problem.
Besides the tools and skills mentioned in my CV, I’m always eager to learn new ones. Most of
what I know, I first learned through self-study and curiosity, and I also enjoy learning from
others and sharing knowledge within a team.
