UPSC Civil Services Examination is one of the most prestigious examinations in India. It is
conducted by the Union Public Service Commission every year. Thousands of students prepare
for this examination to become IAS, IPS, IFS, and other civil servants.
The examination has three stages:
• Preliminary Examination
• Main Examination
• Personality Test (Interview)
• The Preliminary Examination consists of two papers:
• General Studies Paper 1
• CSAT Paper 2
Candidates must develop strong conceptual understanding in subjects such as History,
Geography, Polity, Economy, Environment, Science and Technology, and Current Affairs.
Time management is one of the most important factors in UPSC preparation. Students should
make a proper timetable and follow it consistently. Revision, mock tests, and answer writing
practice are essential for success.
Reading newspapers daily improves analytical ability and helps in essay writing and interview
preparation. NCERT books provide a strong foundation for beginners.
Self-study with discipline and consistency can help any aspirant crack the examination
successfully.
