‘Bus cooled by air cooler air pumped from ‘sides’ onto hot roof’
Patenting Pending by Dr Saurabh Kwatra Resolve
Air pump driven by DC motor attached to outside of vehicle (without puncturing vehicle body) sucks air
from cooler ‘outside’ surroundings and pumps it onto hot burning roof. There is clear difference of
temperature between scorching roof and ambience air when vehicle parked in direct sun.
Solar panel is attached over roof of car/bus with an air gap. Air gap acts as insulator but more so,
generates a cooler air curtain created by air flow. To better effects, air can be sprayed over roof as a
mist (with water added to flowing air using aerator effect). Evaporative cooling will further cool roof.
Solar panel may power pump and/or recharge standby batteries in bus. The whole idea is to decrease
roof’s temperature and hence make conventional air conditioning inside bus more effective and
economical.
