About Baamboozle
Baamboozle ([Link]) is a free, browser-based interactive game platform
designed for classroom learning. Teachers can create custom quiz games or use existing
games. Students participate in teams, answering questions to earn points. The platform
supports pictures, text, and various question types, making it ideal for vocabulary learning at
the elementary level.

How Baamboozle is Used in This Module

• Each teaching meeting (Meetings 2–11) includes a 25–30 minute Baamboozle game
session.
• The class is divided into 2–3 teams who compete to answer vocabulary questions.
• Questions are projected on screen; teams take turns selecting and answering
questions.
• Immediate feedback is provided by the teacher after each answer.
• The leaderboard is displayed live to maintain student motivation.

Pre-test Instructions
The pre-test is administered to BOTH the Experiment Class and the Control Class before
any treatment begins. Results will serve as baseline data for comparison with post-test
scores.

• Section A – Matching: Match 10 English words to their Indonesian translation. (10
points)
• Section B – Fill in the Blank: Complete 10 sentences with the correct vocabulary
word. (10 points)
• Section C – Identify the Picture: Write the correct English word for 10 pictures. (10
points)

Baamboozle Game Description

A grand review Baamboozle tournament with 30 mixed questions from all three rooms.
Includes categorization challenges ('Which room does this belong to?'), picture descriptions,
and a final Lightning Round where teams must name 5 words from a room in 30 seconds.

Post-test Instructions
The post-test uses the same format and items as the pre-test and is administered to BOTH
classes after all 10 teaching meetings are complete. Post-test scores will be compared to
pre-test scores to measure vocabulary improvement.

Post-test Format
• Section A – Matching: Match 10 English words to their Indonesian translation. (10
points)
• Section B – Fill in the Blank: Complete 10 sentences with the correct vocabulary
word. (10 points)
• Section C – Identify the Picture: Write the correct English word for 10 pictures. (10
points)

Assessment & Data Analysis

Post-test scores are recorded and compared to pre-test scores to calculate vocabulary gain.
Total score: 30 points (Section A: 10 pts, Section B: 10 pts, Section C: 10 pts). Results from
both the Experiment Class and Control Class will be analyzed using an Independent
Samples T-Test to determine whether the use of Baamboozle significantly improves
vocabulary achievement.
