course of this presentation, we will provide a comprehensive overview of our research

objectives, the meticulous methodology we have employed, the pivotal findings we have

the potential to contribute significantly to the broader discourse on reducing inequality and

fostering inclusivity through the innovative application of technology. Before delving into the

intricacies of our research, allow us to introduce the dedicated individuals who have invested

Our research centers around the theme of "Utilizing Inclusive Technology to Combat Inequality"

This research title was thoughtfully chosen in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goal

(SDG) assigned to us, namely SDG 10, which focuses on "Reducing inequality within and

among countries." Our aim is to harness the scientific advancements of our society to address

and diminish inequality, with technology serving as the catalyst for change.

Let us now proceed to the Introduction Part of the Research, and start with the Background of the

Study.

The technology-inequality relationship is complex, with both positive and negative impacts, as

ESCAP notes. Technology enhances productivity, economic growth, and knowledge sharing but
can also contribute to injustices. It narrows the gap between developing and developed countries,

emphasizing the importance of ensuring access for the less privileged. Technology is crucial for

mitigating the disproportionate impact of disasters and environmental degradation on

disadvantaged populations. Collaborating with vulnerable groups to identify specific challenges

and create tailored solutions is more effective than a one-size-fits-all approach. Science,

technology, and innovation reduce inequalities and vulnerabilities by providing access to

essential services and knowledge, fostering connections within and beyond communities.

The primary objective of the research is to investigate the variables in relation to inequality

with technology. Specifically, this research seeks to:

 Enact laws, particularly in the areas of fiscal, labor, and social protection, and gradually

advance toward greater equality.

 Address concerns and offer suggestions to policymakers so that technology used to fulfill the

Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) lessens inequality rather than increases it.

 Address the requirements of the underprivileged, who must be enabled to access and utilize

such technologies.

development. Precisely quantifying technology's contribution to productivity and economic

and diverse assessment methods. The study seeks to ensure technology aligns with the

Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and reduces inequality. It addresses these complexities

and provides recommendations for policymakers, emphasizing the crucial role of public policy in

meeting the needs of the less privileged and granting them effective access to technology.

Next is the Conceptual and Theoretical Framework

The research will incorporate three conceptual frameworks: Functionalist Theory, Digital Divide

Theory, and Amartya Sen's Capability Approach. These frameworks are chosen to encompass a

wide range of theoretical perspectives, thus providing a strong foundation for the study.

Thorough conceptual and theoretical analyses are essential to deepen our understanding of the

issues under consideration.

By doing so, we can provide well-founded recommendations to policymakers concerning the

role of technology in advancing the Sustainable Development Goals, with a specific emphasis on

reducing, rather than exacerbating, inequalities. Additionally, we will explore the factors

influencing decision-making processes in this context.

The study's framework centers on using inclusive technology to combat inequality, with

technology adoption as the independent variable and inequality as the dependent variable. Its

primary aim is to investigate how implementing inclusive technology affects reducing inequality.
The core focus is on addressing concerns and offering policy recommendations. Emphasizing

alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the study seeks to minimize, not

exacerbate, inequality. Quota sampling is employed to capture a diverse range of perspectives

and experiences related to the impact of inclusive technology on inequality.

Lastly for the Introduction part is the Importance of the Study

Technology's role in contemporary society is crucial, impacting areas such as the environment

and economic prospects. While technology can provide opportunities for skill acquisition and

online employment, not everyone has equal access to these benefits. Researchers propose

addressing inequality in the Philippines through Inclusive Technology. This approach aims to

bridge the digital divide by providing technology access for all, regardless of their current access

or socio-economic background. Using digital technologies and techniques ensures equal access

and benefits from technological opportunities for everyone, thus reducing inequality.
