Discipleship Project Screencast Script
[Start speaking on camera]
Hi, my name is Jamaan Gordon, and today I’ll be sharing my Discipleship Project and what I’ve
learned this semester.
At the beginning of the semester, I wanted to become a disciplined, Christ-centered, and reliable
person who acts on my goals instead of only thinking about them. I also wanted to serve others
and use my talents to provide for myself and my family. My “Become” statement is:
"I want my daily actions to reflect my faith and long-term purpose, and I want to grow
spiritually, academically, and as a leader who blesses my community."

Here’s my tracking sheet where I recorded my daily, weekly, and monthly habits. I tracked four
daily habits:
1. Daily prayer and scripture study.
2. Working on my business or class assignments for at least 30–60 minutes each day.
3. Tracking my goals and habits daily.
4. Practicing a healthy habit, like walking, stretching, or exercising for 20 minutes.
I also had weekly and monthly goals: each week I reviewed my progress and reported to my
accountability partners, and each month I tested my business idea with real customers and made
improvements based on their feedback.
As you can see from the sheet, I completed every single goal for 50 days in a row. This shows
the consistency and discipline I’ve been able to maintain, and it’s been very encouraging to see
the progress visually.

Looking at my accomplishments versus my goals, I can confidently say that I became more of
the person I wanted to be. I strengthened my spiritual habits through daily scripture study and
prayer, improved my work habits by completing business and class assignments consistently, and
focused on my health with regular exercise. I also developed discipline and accountability by
sharing my progress honestly with Levi and Melanie, my accountability partners.

Part of this project taught me the importance of accountability. I learned that being honest about
setbacks helps me improve quickly, and having accountability partners keeps me motivated to
follow through. I also learned that consistency is key—small daily actions build long-term habits
that shape who I am.

Moving forward, there are three things I plan to do differently:
1. I will block specific times in my calendar for daily reflection and habits, preferably in the
mornings, so they become even more consistent.
2. I want to focus more intentionally on serving and mentoring others to build them up as I
grow.
3. I will continue adjusting and adding goals as I develop new habits and identify areas for
growth.
In conclusion, this project helped me grow as a disciple-leader. I learned that striving to become
the person I want to be and building others go hand in hand. I’ve grown spiritually, personally,
and professionally, and I feel prepared to continue applying these lessons in my life.
Thank you for watching.
