ready for class.
3. **Review** – Briefly recall the previous lesson about developmental tasks and transitions
during adolescence.
4. **Motivation:** Show a mirror to the class and ask: “When you look at yourself, what do
you see beyond your reflection?” Allow students to share short responses that lead into the
topic of knowing oneself.
B. Developmental Activities
1. **Presentation of the Lesson**
Explain that self-awareness is the foundation of personal development. It involves
understanding our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and how these influence our
decisions and relationships.
2. **Activity 1 – ‘My Personal Inventory’**
Each student lists down their top 5 strengths and 3 limitations. Then, they write one
example for each that shows how these traits appear in daily life.
3. **Discussion and Reflection**
Guide students to reflect on their lists. Ask: What do your strengths tell you about your
character? How can you manage your limitations? Discuss the importance of self-acceptance
and how recognizing both strengths and weaknesses helps in setting realistic goals.
4. **Activity 2 – ‘The Tree of Me’**
Provide a drawing template of a tree. The roots represent values, the trunk represents
skills, and the leaves represent goals and dreams. Students fill in each part to visually
represent who they are. Afterward, they share insights with a partner.
5. **Abstraction**
Summarize by explaining that knowing oneself means understanding our emotions, values,
and behaviors. It helps us make wise decisions, form healthy relationships, and adapt to life
changes with resilience.
C. Application

choices in school, relationships, and future career decisions.
