Subject: Request for Providing Adequate Gap Between End Semester Examinations (B.A.
LL.B. Hons. VI & VIII Sem.)

Respected Sir/Madam,

With due respect, we, the students of B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) VI & VIII Semester, humbly bring the
following matter to your kind attention regarding the Time Table / Date-Sheet issued vide
Notification No. Ex./P/26/58 dated 22 April 2026, for the End Semester Examinations 2026.

Upon careful review of the issued schedule, we have observed that examinations have been
scheduled on consecutive days — Monday through Saturday — without any gap between papers.
The current timetable is as follows:

• 12 May 2026 (Tuesday) — LAW-EC-6115 / LAW-CC-8115


• 13 May 2026 (Wednesday) — LAW-CC-6125 / LAW-CC-8125
• 14 May 2026 (Thursday) — LAW-CC-6135 / LAW-CC-8135
• 15 May 2026 (Friday) — LAW-CC-6145 / LAW-CC-8145
• 16 May 2026 (Saturday) — LAW-CC-6155 / LAW-CC-8155
• 18 May 2026 (Monday) — LAW-CC-6165 / LAW-CC-8165

We respectfully wish to draw your attention to the following genuine concerns:

1. Nature of Examination: This is an End Semester Examination, which is far more


comprehensive and demanding in scope than mid-term assessments. Each paper requires
extensive preparation covering an entire semester's syllabus.
2. Inadequate Preparation Time: Consecutive daily examinations leave students with virtually
no time for revision, especially when studying multiple law subjects simultaneously, each
involving complex statutes, case laws, and legal principles.
3. Academic Performance: The absence of gap days significantly hampers our ability to
perform to our full potential, which may adversely affect our academic results and overall
learning outcomes.
4. Physical and Mental Fatigue: Appearing in examinations on consecutive days without rest
leads to physical exhaustion and mental stress, which is detrimental to student well-being.
5. Standard Practice: It is a common and widely accepted academic practice to provide at least
one day's gap between examinations, particularly for end-semester assessments.

In light of the above, we most humbly and earnestly request your kind intervention to revise the
examination timetable by providing a minimum gap of at least one day between each examination.
This small adjustment will greatly assist us in preparing thoroughly and performing at our best in
these crucial examinations.

We are hopeful that our genuine academic concerns will be considered sympathetically and that
appropriate action will be taken at the earliest.
