WEEK 2 PROJECT

Identifying a Community Problem

This project helps students identify and understand a real community problem.
Students learn how to study a problem carefully and think about its causes,
effects, and possible solutions.

2. Selected Community Problem: Pollution


Pollution is one of the most common problems seen in many communities. It
affects the environment, human health, animals, and water sources. Air pollution,
garbage dumping, and dirty surroundings create unhealthy living conditions.

3. Why This Problem Exists


• People throw garbage on roads and open places.

• Lack of awareness about cleanliness.

• Improper waste management systems.

• Burning of plastic and waste materials.

4. Who Is Affected
Pollution affects everyone in the community. Children, elderly people, workers,
shopkeepers, and animals suffer because of dirty surroundings and polluted air. It
can cause diseases and make the area unsafe and unhealthy.
