Electronics Around Us-Bluetooth

Bluetooth is a wireless communication technology that enables short-distance device connectivity using the 2.4 GHz frequency band and frequency-hopping spread spectrum to reduce interference. The master device controls the connection by managing timing and frequency hopping, while slave devices synchronize with the master. Data is transmitted in binary codes, consisting of an access code, header, and main information.

Bluetooth:

Bluetooth is a wireless communication technology that

allows devices to connect and communicate with each other
over short distances. Bluetooth operates in the 2.4 GHz
frequency band and uses radio waves for communication. It
employs a technology called frequency-hopping spread
spectrum (FHSS) to minimize interference from other devices
operating in the same frequency range.

Frequency-hopping spread spectrum is designed for

robust operation in noisy environments by transmitting short
packets at different frequencies across wide portions of channel
bandwidth. Frequency-shift keying is a frequency modulation
scheme in which digital information is encoded on a carrier
signal by periodically shifting the frequency of the carrier
between several discrete frequencies. A band-pass filter or
band pass filter (BPF) is a device that passes frequencies within
a certain range and rejects (attenuates) frequencies outside
that range.

In a Bluetooth connection, the master device controls the

timing and frequency hopping sequence. The master initiates
data transmission and assigns time slots to the slave devices
for transmission. The slave devices synchronize their hopping
sequence with the master to maintain a consistent connection.
Both the devices contain small antennae in their internal
circuitry. The information is carried in the form of binary codes
by the electromagnetic radio waves. It can be separated into
three parts namely access code(72 bits),header(54 bits) and
the main information.
