EXPANDED 9th-GRADE LEVEL SKIT
Narrator 1:
Every group project starts with confidence, dedication and
determination. Which obviously doesn’t last for long. Everyone
thinks, “This time we’ll do better.” But at the end, somehow, it
always ends with confusion, stress, panic
and at least one person pretending they did everything.
Narrator 2:
And obviously, that one quiet kid who does nothing yet gets all
the credit! Resembling a similar plot, let’s take a look at the story
of six friends who had the potential to make something amazing…
but first had to learn how to actually understand each other.
N2- Scene 1 — The Confusion Begins
Ishan:
Alright team, let’s begin properly.
We don’t have much time, so I’ll assign tasks.
It’ll save time and keep things organised.
Myra:
“Organised”?
Last time you “assigned tasks,”
you took half the work for yourself and then bossed everyone
around.
We’re not repeating that, okay?
Kabir:
(leans in dramatically)
Breaking news!
Project hasn’t even started but the fights surely have.
Aarav:
Guys chill yaar…
We just started the meeting and we’re already stressed.
First let me eat something and then we’ll think clearly.
Tara:
(soft but audible this time)
Maybe… we should at least decide the topic first?
Because we’re arguing without even knowing what the project is
about.
Rhea:
Exactly!
We don’t have a topic, we don’t have a plan…
but we do have arguments for no reason.
Let’s focus, please.
Narrator 1:
And this right here… is the classic problem in a group project:
Everybody talking, trying to prove themselves and nobody
listening which always ends up creating chaos and last minute q
1- Scene 2 — The Misunderstanding Explosion
Ishan:
Okay fine. Let’s move ahead.
Aarav, you write the introduction. Your handwriting is neat.
Aarav:
Wait, what?
I thought Myra was writing the intro.
She literally said she’ll handle that.
Myra:
Huh?
Why would I write the intro?
I clearly said I’ll work on the diagrams and neat work!
Kabir:
Hold on hold on—
I thought I’m doing the diagrams.
That’s what you told me.
Myra:
When did I ever say that?
I don’t remember saying anything like that.
Tara:
(quietly but firmly)
Um… you told Kabir yesterday after school.
While we were walking out.
Myra:
Oh…
Ohhh.
Okay fine, maybe I did say it.
But I forgot!
Narrator 2:
And there it was —
one small misunderstanding…
and suddenly the whole group looked like a circus show- a chaotic
one at that!
Rhea:
Guys PLEASE!
We’re literally confused about who’s doing what.
We’re arguing about work that we haven’t even started.
This makes zero sense!
N-1 -Scene 3 — The Realisation Moment
Narrator 1:
After ten full minutes of noise, chaos,
and no less than three different people talking at the same time…
someone finally said something sensible at the last.
Tara:
(soft but very firm)
Maybe… if we communicated properly,
all this confusion wouldn’t happen.
Narrator 2- Everyone stops. Looks at Tara.
Kabir:
Wow.
The quiet one has spoken.
Now we really need to behave.
Aarav:
She’s right though.
We keep assuming things without confirming.
Obviously it’ll lead to fights.
Myra:
And we get defensive so quickly.
We don’t listen because we’re too busy proving our point.
Ishan:
Okay, point noted.
Let’s just restart from scratch.
This time, clearly and calmly.
No assumptions, no confusion.
Narrator 2- Scene 4 — Teamwork Finally Begins
Rhea:
Let’s keep this simple.
Everyone picks tasks based on what they’re genuinely good at.
No ego, no overthinking.
Narrator 2:
And finally…things started making sense and everything started
coming together
Myra:
I’ll handle all the diagrams and neat work.
It’s what I’m best at, and I actually enjoy that part.
Aarav:
I’ll write everything.
But this time I’ll do it properly.
No last-minute rush like last time — promise.
Kabir:
I’ll give creative ideas and help add interesting points.
And I SWEAR I won’t create chaos on purpose.
…maybe.
Tara:
I’ll do the research thoroughly.
Just tell me exactly what we need,
and I’ll find reliable information.
Ishan:
I’ll organise everything.
Structure, final layout, sequencing — I’ll handle that.
Rhea:
And I’ll make sure everyone finishes their part on time
and stays focused. Basically… team manager.
Narrator 1:
And just like that…
the group that couldn’t stay together for just ten minutes
was finally working like an actual team and actually making
progress.
Narrator 2- Scene 5 — Presentation Day
Narrator 1:
The next day, they stood in front of the class, confident and ready
for any challenge
Ishan:
Teamwork isn’t just about dividing work…
Myra:
…it’s about actually understanding each other.
Kabir:
…it’s about not assuming random things.
Aarav:
…and not wasting time fighting over tiny confusion.
Tara:
…it’s about clear and simple communication.
Rhea:
…and most importantly, supporting each other.
Narrator 1:
And they finally learned the truth:
Teams don’t fail because they’re weak or incapable
They fail because they lack teamwork and co-ordination.
Narrator 2: But when everyone listens and communicates,
any group can succeed…united in purpose, unstoppable in action!
