1.1 Doodling (15 Lessons)
What is Doodling?
Doodling is making simple drawings or marks on paper. You can doodle
pictures of plants, trees, and other things you see in your neighbourhood.
Materials for Doodling:
You will need a pencil, paper, crayons, markers, or colored pencils .
Let’s Doodle Plants:
Draw simple pictures of plants, trees, and flowers you see around your home
and school.
Action Song Example:
"In our neighbourhood, we see the trees,
The flowers bloom and sway in the breeze,
We doodle them on paper bright,
With colors that make them a lovely sight."
What I Have Learnt:
I have learnt to identify materials used in doodling, like pencils and crayons.

1.2 Painting (20 Lessons)
What is Painting?
Painting is using colors to make pictures on paper or other surfaces.
Materials for Painting:
You will need paint, paintbrushes, water, and paper.
Let’s Paint Items in the Neighbourhood:
Paint pictures of things you see in your neighbourhood, like houses, cars,
and trees.
Action Song Example:
"We paint the cars, the houses too,
The trees and skies, all bright and true,
With our brushes, we create,
In our neighbourhood, it’s great!"
What I Have Learnt:
I have learnt to identify materials used for painting, like paint and brushes.
o Example: I used a paintbrush to paint a house.

2.1 Mosaic (15 Lessons)
What is Mosaic?
Mosaic is creating a picture by sticking small pieces of colored paper,
stones, or other materials onto a surface.
Materials for Making Mosaic:
You will need small pieces of colored paper, glue, and a base paper.
Let’s Make Mosaic Pictures of the School Compound:
Create pictures of buildings found in your school, like classrooms, offices,
and the playground, using mosaic.
Singing Game Example:
"In our school, the buildings stand,
With classrooms, offices, all so grand,
We stick and place, piece by piece,
Our mosaic grows and never cease."

I have learnt to identify materials for making mosaic pictures, like colored

What is Swinging and Stretching?

Swinging involves moving back and forth, like on a swing. Stretching is
when you reach out your body to make it longer.
Swinging and Stretching Activities:
Swing back and forth using a rope or on a swing.
Stretch your arms and legs to reach up high or down low.
Singing Game Example:
"Swinging high, swinging low,
Stretching up, down we go,
We move our bodies, strong and free,
In our school, so happily."
What I Have Learnt:
I have learnt to differentiate between swinging and stretching activities.
o Example: I know swinging means moving back and forth, and
stretching means reaching out my arms and legs.
I have learnt to perform swinging activities in school.
o Example: I swung back and forth on the school swing.
I have learnt to perform stretching activities in school.
o Example: I stretched my arms up to touch the sky.
I have learnt to perform a singing game while swinging and stretching.
o Example: I sang about swinging while doing the actions.

What is Body Percussion?
Body percussion is using parts of your body to create sounds, like clapping,
stomping, or snapping your fingers.
Body Parts Used for Percussion:

Clapping: Use your hands to clap.
Stomping: Use your feet to stomp.
Snapping: Use your fingers to snap.
Let’s Create Rhythm Patterns:
Combine clapping, stomping, and snapping to make rhythm patterns while
singing.
Coloring Activity:
Color pictures of body parts used in body percussion, like hands, feet, and
fingers.
Action Song Example:
"Clap your hands and stomp your feet,
Snap your fingers to the beat,
We make music, loud and sweet,
With our bodies, can’t be beat!"

What is Modelling?
Modelling is when you shape or create something using materials like clay
or dough.
Materials for Modelling:
Use clay, dough, or soft soil. Tools like rolling pins and sculpting tools can
help. A clean surface to work on is also needed.
What is the Rolling Technique?
The rolling technique is a way to shape materials like clay or dough by
rolling them into different forms. Here’s how:
1. Flatten the Material: Start by flattening a piece of clay or dough with
your hands or a rolling pin.
2. Roll It Out: Roll the material back and forth to make it thin and even.
You can roll it in different directions to shape it.
3. Shape It: After rolling, you can shape the material into different
forms, like animals or objects, by molding or cutting it .
Let’s Model Domestic Animals:
Create simple models of domestic animals like cows, chickens, dogs, and
cats using the rolling technique.
Fun Games and Rhymes:
Play fun games and recite rhymes about domestic animals while modelling.
Action Song Example:
"Here’s a cow, so big and brown,
Here’s a cat, jumping around,
We make animals, one by one,
In our class, we have such fun."

Let’s Make a Paper Fan:
Fold paper back and forth to create a fan that you can use on sunny days.

"On sunny days, the sun shines bright,
We use our fans, to cool just right,
We fold the paper, in and out,
Our fans are ready, without a doubt!"
