 Aim is for an Educare teacher Is to nurture kids’ physical development, emotional
and social development
 Encourage them on their skills, build their self esteem
 Teach them about sharing and caring and self-discipline and independency also
school readiness

2. What form of teaching is presented to the children – formal or informal?

 Basically, kids learn through physical activities e.g. games and exploration it
helps their development level or stage to grow

building blocks to play while at it they learn about shapes, teamwork if they are
building together and balance on the building

3. Which are the most important years of any child’s life?

the most important years of a child’s life are from birth to about 6 years, with the
first 1,000 days (from conception to around age 2) being the most critical. During
this period, rapid brain development occurs, and proper nutrition, care, and
stimulation are essential for lifelong learning and health. The preschool years
(ages 3–5) are also vital for developing language, social, and cognitive skills,
helping prepare children for formal schooling. Overall,

5. What approach is used in dealing with all the developmental stages
a holistic approach is used to deal with all developmental stages. This means
that a child’s development is supported in all areas—physical, cognitive, social,
emotional, and language—at the same time, rather than focusing on only one
aspect

7. Why is it so important for children to have a positive self-image? – no more

It is important cause it impacts kids live in so many ways. Kids will be able to set
and achieve goals by pushing themselves to grow
It helps them to develop resilience build strong relationships and makes confident
decisions

Also, it all about creating a safe space where they feel valued and encourage to
be themselves
When kids feel good about themselves they’re more likely to try new things
bounce back from setbacks and reach their full potential and they will be more
likely to take care of their mental health and physical health
 It is important cause kids will more likely to stand up for themselves and ask for
help when they need

8. What are the FOUR points that a teacher needs to ensure that she is an
efficient teacher
 Beware of what is happening at all times
 Be supportive, positive and always encouraging the child
 Allow the child to try alone and become independent
 Help the child to realize his achievement and feel proud of it and then to
develop a positive self-image
9. Why should children NEVER be “labelled”?
Labelling can lead to isolation and self-doubt. Kids might start to believe they
only worth because of the label, not because of who they are as people
Also, it put them on close container makes them think that they can only be one
thing instead of helping them to know who they are.

10. Should children be allowed to constantly ask “why” and give reasons for
your answer?
Yes, it helps them to have a better understanding also its challenges teachers
make learning very interesting as teacher will be able to see things from new
angles and its awesome to see them grow into little knowledge seekers

11. Lesson 1 -page 5. If Princess is busy throwing sand out of the sandpit and
into eyes of the other children, how do you think this situation must be
handled? – no more than 200 words
Firstly, what I can do is to remain very calmly to the situation then I will kindly
advise princess not to throw sand out sandpit and into the eye of other children

attend the kids Who got sand in her eyes, check if she is okay then I would ask
the kid to go so we can rinse off the sand from the eyes using lukewarm water
 I will firstly wash my hands with soap and water to prevent infections, after that I
will inspect the eye gently check for the sand while the child is looking up and
down then flush with water ensuring the eyelid is held open, then I will ask or
suggest the kid & blink for multiple times to help natural tears wash out the sand
as well.

I will call all kids and advise them to be kind with sand it hurt when gets in the
eyes suggest to play safely also suggest different activity, also encourage her to
say sorry and make amends give gently pat on the back to those who got hurt.
Make a phone call to the kids’ parent and explain about the incident and safety
measures we took advise them to take the kid to a doctor if the pain doesn’t stop

12. What have you learnt from the first module – “The aims and method of
teaching the Pre-School child”? no more than 500 words.
Teaching pre-school child is about guiding them to learn social skills empathy
and responsibility like sharing, apologizing and being kind to others turning
everyday moment into teachable one. Also, I have learned about the aim of
teaching is to prepare the child for school readiness and learn about the most
important five developmental stages of 6 years child which are emotional
development, physical development, social development, intellectual
development and spiritual development.

This module was amazing also learn about that teaching is informal as a child
learns through play, touching, hearing, smelling, tasting and seeing

School readiness begins at an early age and the daycare minders/teacher’s

responsibility is to the child activities, the proper planning and conduct of which
will ensure that a full, enriched play and learning program take place daily

Got to learn about the aim of being a good teacher by always recognizing and
minimizes worry and tension making children feel good about themselves
recognizing that they are individuals and need individual attention as often as
possible emphasizes praise rather than criticism have strong relationships with
kids

Lesson learn the importance of positive self-image to child life help them develop
confidence in themselves have the ability to achieve that also responsibility of as
teacher to praise and encourage the kid to feel good about themselves

I have also discovered that children should never be labeled it kills their self
esteem and always say positive words to them so they can have confident about
themselves

Lesson learn on princess throwing sand, I have learned modeling behavior

showing kids how to apologize and make amends. Empathy understand how
others feel and learning to fix mistake and implementation of problem-solving
finding ways to play safely and inclusively also importance of informing the
parents that on its own it builds a health relationship.

With parents showing that their kids are safe with the teacher and they are taken
cared of at all cost and shows that kids they are loved and teacher got their
backs also letting parents know what’s going with their kids its also building trust
