problem, such as overpopulation. Many people could have
opportunities to migrate to new lands and continue developing
modern civilization even if the Earth faced severe problems.
Secondly, Space exploration could allow humans to discover new
materials, which possesses capacity to resolve energy shortages
issues on the Earth, thereby reducing dependence on fossil fuels.
On the other hand, opponents of the previous view claim that the
state should concentrate on finding solutions to major problems on
the Earth instead of allocation substantial financial resources to
space research. Such Investment in that could cause resource
shortage on the earth and make government could be under
pressure. Therefore, the authorities should prioritize domestic
issues over outer space issues, such as climate change, rising sea
level, and running out of resources. If these issues were solved,
they could extend the Earth of lifespan, which giving the state
greater time to implement space exploration and discover planets
with suitable living conditions for humans.
