Email Writing (UASA Part 6)
Prepared for Year 6 Pupils
Part A: Notes on Writing an Email
1. Begin with the recipient’s email (To:) and a Subject line.
2. Use a greeting such as 'Dear ...'.
3. Write in simple sentences and organise into 3–5 short paragraphs.
4. Use the notes given in the exam question (what, when, who, why, how).
5. End politely (e.g., 'Your friend', 'Yours sincerely').
6. Always check grammar, spelling and punctuation.
