collaborated with brands on paid partnerships, which helped me strengthen my

live projects and leadership role as President of the Event Management Committee

retailers, and customers while also understanding how marketing strategies support sales
growth.
Long-term: Over the next 5–7 years, I see myself taking on greater responsibilities in
managing markets, leading teams, and contributing to brand-building and business
development. Ultimately, I want to grow into a leadership role where I can align sales
execution with marketing strategy to drive sustainable business growth.

with 360+ participants. Additionally, my successful brand collaborations as a content
creator have also been a personal achievement as they reflect recognition of my skills by
companies.
6. What motivated you to choose this field/stream?
I was motivated to choose marketing and sales because I’ve always been fascinated by
how brands connect with people and influence decisions. My early exposure came when I
managed social media accounts for cafés and restaurants during school, which gave me a
practical sense of how marketing drives visibility. Later, running my own small business
and generating sales of ₹3.5 lakhs further strengthened my interest, as I experienced first-
hand the importance of pitching, negotiation, and customer relationships.
During my PGDM, my internship and live projects gave me deeper exposure to sales and
digital marketing, confirming that this is the right field for me. I enjoy interacting with
people, building relationships, and working towards targets, which makes marketing
and sales a natural fit for my strengths and interests.
7. Why did you choose this course/college?
I chose the PGDM in Marketing at Jaipuria Institute of Management because I
wanted a program that offered not just strong academic learning but also practical
exposure through internships, live projects, and industry interaction. Jaipuria has a
good reputation for its industry-oriented curriculum, corporate connect, and placement
opportunities, which made it the right fit for me.
Another reason was the holistic learning environment—from classroom learning to
leadership opportunities like committees and events—which allowed me to develop not
just technical marketing skills but also teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving
abilities.
Overall, Jaipuria gave me a platform to explore live projects, brand collaborations, and

[Link] of the toughest decisions you had to make in life
During my summer internship at Prasuta Ventures, we were asked to create a social
media presence for the company to build brand awareness. Since it was a young startup of
about 1.5 years, choosing the right platform was a tough decision—we had to carefully
evaluate whether to focus on Facebook, Instagram, or LinkedIn.
After thorough discussions with my peers and consultation with my mentor, we decided
to launch on Instagram and LinkedIn, as these platforms aligned better with the
company’s target audience and brand positioning. It turned out to be the right decision—
we gained around 300 organic followers within a month, which helped strengthen the
startup’s digital presence. This experience taught me the importance of analysing
options, consulting stakeholders, and making strategic choices even under uncertainty.

Through extracurricular activities, especially as President of the Event Management

by managing large-scale events and leading a team. Running my own small business

that, I’m also working on improving my data interpretation and presentation
skills, so I can convert insights into actionable sales strategies. This blend of
traditional sales understanding with emerging AI applications is helping me stay
future-ready and more effective in driving results.
Behavioural & Situational
15. Tell me about a challenge you faced in college and how you overcame it.
One of the biggest challenges I faced in my first year of PGDM was during my role as
Junior Coordinator of the Event Management Committee for our flagship event Jai Utsav.
We were tasked with bringing participants from various undergraduate colleges in Indore.
The challenge was that our campus is around 20 km away from the city center, and poor
connectivity made it difficult to convince students to come.
To overcome this, we thought creatively and introduced multiple solutions:
We offered free passes for our celebrity night to make the event more attractive.
Arranged college buses 2–3 times a day to ensure smooth commuting.
Used the registration fees smartly by redistributing them as cash prizes for
winners, which motivated participation.
Provided participation certificates that could add value to their profile.
Through these efforts, we were able to significantly increase UG student participation.
This experience taught me problem-solving, stakeholder management, and how to turn
challenges into opportunities with limited resources.
16. How do you handle deadlines and pressure?
I believe I’ve always been exposed to situations with tight deadlines and pressure.
During my bachelor’s, I was running my own small business while managing
academics, and in PGDM I took up the responsibility of committee presidentship
along with studies. Balancing both required discipline and time management. I call
myself a very systematic person—I like to plan everything with pen and paper, break
down tasks, and prioritize what needs to be done first. This habit helps me stay calm
and organized even under pressure. I see deadlines not as stress points but as
motivators that push me to deliver on time without compromising quality.
17. Describe a time when you worked in a team successfully.
One example of working successfully in a team was during my PGDM, when I was
elected as the President of the Event Management Committee. I had a team of 10
juniors to guide, and together we had to plan and execute multiple events. My role
was to coordinate responsibilities, ensure clear communication, and keep everyone
motivated.
I believe in leading by collaboration rather than authority, so I made sure everyone’s
ideas were heard and delegated tasks based on each member’s strengths. As a result,
not only were we able to execute events smoothly, but my juniors also felt ownership
of their work, which built strong team spirit.
On the other side, I’ve also been an active team member in many projects. In those
roles, I focus on being supportive, meeting my deadlines, and maintaining a positive
attitude. I think both experiences—leading and being a team player—have helped me
understand team dynamics from different perspectives.
18. How do you handle failure or criticism?
Situation: When I started my small gifting business during my undergrad, I faced
constant criticism from friends and even family. Many considered my work
“cartoonish” or childish, which at times made me feel discouraged.
Task: The expectation was that I should only focus on academics, but I was
determined to pursue this idea because I saw potential in it.
Action: Instead of stopping, I chose to innovate. I introduced features like QR codes
with secret messages and videos in gifts, created map concepts for long-distance
relationships, and kept refining my offerings to make them more meaningful. I also
learned how to pitch better, understand customer needs, and market creatively on
Instagram.
Result: Within months, I was consistently making around ₹8,500 in monthly sales,
received orders from authors for book covers, cafés for menus, and even designed
customized wedding invites. The same people who once criticized me started
appreciating my creativity and even sought gifting ideas from me.
For me, this experience proved that consistency, innovation, and systematic
planning can turn criticism into growth. More importantly, it sharpened the skills that
matter in sales and marketing — listening to feedback, understanding consumer
psychology, building customer trust, and positioning products creatively.
19. How do you prioritize tasks when you have multiple assignments?
I prioritize tasks by first understanding deadlines and the impact of each task on
overall outcomes. I usually begin by listing everything down and then categorizing
tasks into urgent vs. important. This helps me focus on high-priority deliverables
without losing track of long-term [Link] example, during my PGDM, while
managing academics, my internship, and my role as Event Committee President, I
learned to create structured schedules, delegate when needed, and break large
tasks into smaller milestones. This ensured timely completion without
compromising on quality.I also use tools like MS Excel planners and to-do lists,
which make my workflow systematic and allow me to stay adaptable when
unexpected tasks come up. I believe this balance of planning, adaptability, and
execution helps me handle multiple responsibilities effectively.
20. What motivates you to give your best?
Coming from a middle-class family, I have always been conscious of financial
responsibilities. The desire to support my family, reduce their load, and create a
better future is a strong motivator for me. I see money not just as financial security, but
also as a reward for hard work and performance.
At the same time, what drives me even more is the sense of achievement that comes
from exceeding targets, learning new skills, and being recognized for my contribution.
Knowing that my efforts can make a tangible difference — both for the organization and
for my family — keeps me motivated to consistently give my best.
Culture Fit & Personality
21. Do you prefer working alone or in a team?
I enjoy working in a team because sales and marketing thrive on collaboration, idea
exchange, and collective execution. At the same time, I am comfortable working
independently when needed — for tasks like meeting clients, analyzing data, or closing deals.
I believe a balance of both is essential: teamwork drives creativity and strategy, while
independent ownership ensures accountability.
22. How do you keep yourself updated with industry trends?
I keep myself updated by regularly following business news platforms, marketing
journals, and LinkedIn industry discussions. I also learn from certifications and
webinars that cover digital marketing, consumer behavior, and sales strategies. Additionally,
being a content creator, I actively observe social media trends and consumer engagement
patterns, which helps me understand shifting preferences in real time.
23. How do you balance academics, extracurriculars, and personal life?
I manage balance by being systematic and disciplined. I prioritize tasks using structured
planning tools like Excel trackers and to-do lists. For example, during my PGDM, I balanced
academics with my role as President of the Event Committee and my internship by dividing
tasks into smaller milestones and delegating effectively. This approach not only helps me stay
organized but also ensures I give my 100% to each responsibility without burnout.
24. If you are given a task you don’t know how to do, what will you do?
If I’m given a task I don’t know how to do, my first step is to research and learn through
available resources — whether that’s company manuals, online tools, or best practices. If
clarity is still needed, I would consult my seniors or teammates without hesitation, because
completing the task correctly is more important than pretending to know everything. At the
same time, I would note the learning so that next time I can handle it independently.
