(b) Describe Best First Search and Heuristic Search techniques. Give a brief comparison.

Q3. (a) Explain the A* search algorithm with a suitable example. Why is it considered optimal and
complete?
(b) Describe the AO* search algorithm. Differentiate between A* and AO* search techniques.

Q4. (a) What is Knowledge Representation? Explain the problems in representing knowledge in
Artificial Intelligence.
(b) Explain Propositional Logic and Predicate Logic. Compare both using suitable examples.

Q5. (a) Explain the concepts of Resolution, Refutation, and Deduction in Artificial Intelligence.
(b) What is Inference? Differentiate between Monotonic and Non-Monotonic Reasoning.

Q6. (a) Explain Probabilistic Reasoning and Bayes’ Theorem with a suitable example.
(b) Explain Semantic Networks, Frames, Scripts, and Conceptual Dependency as knowledge
representation techniques.

(b) Discuss the Block World Problem in robotics. Explain Forward Reasoning and Backward
Reasoning.

(forward & backward chaining).
(b) Explain the applications of Natural Language Processing (NLP) in designing expert systems. Also
